Just a quick heads up before the Fox Mobile picks me up to take me to the studio. I'm scheduled to be on the Fox News Channel today between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. EDT.
The topic is vote swapping in this year's presidential election. I'm against it, as is Jim and all but one of the FReepers I've spoken to about this since Fox invited me on the show.
The group organizing it this year is Vote Pair.
The segment should be about five minutes long.
In 2000, a FReeper suggested conservatives do the same thing but it didn't pan out.
However, the legal beagle proponent of vote swapping I'm scheduled to be on with mentioned the FR thread in a piece published in the Loyola Los Angeles Law Review.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Breaking News; News/Current Events; US: District of Columbia; US: Maryland; US: Virginia

I was wondering that, too. Who was he and why was Kerry so interested in helping him that he becomes listed in one of the very, very few bills Kerry pushed for in the Senate?

This is where opposing voters in different states
agree to vote for the "other guy".
The fundamental problem is trusting a lib to uphold
their end of the deal.
But this raises a point: even if someone lives in a state
where your vote "doesn't count" because the state is
already a slam-dunk (either way), they need to vote anyway.
The popular vote has significant PR value, as we saw
in the 2000 election.
Further, we are seeing some slam-dunk Dem states come
into actual play.
