"this is from the UN Web Site: 'The Security Council nominates a Secretary-General to the General Assembly which then votes to appoint the Council's choice. The Security Council is barred from nominating an individual that is from one of Security Council's five permanent members (China, France, Russia, UK, U.S.). 24 posted on 10/21/2004 2:05:43 PM CDT by dfwgator

Do we really think the UN (that idolizes Klinton) would not change that rule to allow this?

I think this story is of a piece with the stories from a few years ago touting Clinton for a third term, somehow, in spite of the 12th and 22nd Amendments.

I think Clinton, through friendly reporters, generates these stories himself. He knows he is legally/Constitutionally ineligible for these jobs, but he puts it out anyway. He lives to hear people report how desperately they need him, but what it's really all about is how desperately Clinton needs the constant acclaim of others.

This is Clinton's pathology, and, unfortunately, we have to live in it.
