Be very scared of the draft, if Kerry wins

Subject: Be very scared of the draft, if Kerry wins.

Be very scared of the draft, if Kerry wins and you or anyone you love is of draft age. Kerry winning will very likely end up causing a draft; the reasons are because the military is spread thin, Kerry has alienated our alliances, and Halliburton has said over and over that if they don’t have enough protection for their employees they will pull out. So, lets see what will more likely happen if Kerry is elected.

First of all, Kerry has alienated our alliances. These countries will more likely start pulling their troops out. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE THAT MANY MORE TROOPS SHORT.

Second, Halliburton will pull out because their employees will not have enough protection. This means that military personnel will have to fill these thousands of empty job positions. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE THAT MANY MORE TROOPS SHORT.

Third, the military is already spread thin. THIS MEANS KERRY AS PRESIDENT WILL HAVE TO BRING BACK THE DRAFT. This can cause another Vietnam and thousands of lives lost, because Kerry will want to save face. Remember he said, “Just because Bush couldn’t do the job doesn’t mean that he can’t do the job.”

NOTE: Right now, the United States is training Iraq troops so that they can take over and we can bring our soldiers back home. I hope that we can be smart enough on Nov 2nd to give the Bush Administration the opportunity to accomplish this goal. This is a heart felt message from Sadie.

Having served at a time when the draft was used, I would hate to see us return to that system. Today's military is much more professional and capable.

Thank you for your service.

I understand all of your points, and they are all good ones.

I don't want to have a long discussion about what's wrong before we get rid of Kerry.

Suffice it to say, while I understand your argument, I disagree. Let's pick it up 11/3.

Watch your nasty mouth!!! You sound like those
little snot-nosed brats over at Democrat
Underground with their vulgarities and teenage
name-calling.

Some of the folks on FR need the tips of their
typing fingers washed off with soap and water!!

There won't be a draft no matter who is elected, so people here can take a deep breath and stop worrying about how they'll look in camoflage.

You forgot the caveat, unless the war expands which I think will happen under Kerry. If the war does expand, how do you square your first sentence with the rest of your post.

Since Bush will win big and still be President until January 20, 2009, I think we have plenty of time.

You forgot to mention that Kerry said he plans to add 40,000 troops. Where's he going to get that many troops without a draft?

Haven't you heard? He has a "plan."

What is going on? Are people not scared of a draft?

I am not scared of anything which is necessary to crush our enemies and eliminate the threat to civilization which they pose from the face of the earth.

On that note, the subject is (temporarily) closed.

Another reason.. I've talked to soldiers who have said they won't re-enlist if Kerry is elected.. They don't want to serve under him.

To add insult to injury, in a Kerry administration, troops would be serving under command of the U.N., under a U.N. flag. Our active military would be leaving in droves.

I know that is why he should draft all those women who are supporting him first. They should be the first ones to be sent a draft card.

Sounds good to me. I'm against the draft for women but I'm willing to make an exception here. Better yet, how about all FrankenKerry Kool-Aid drinkers get drafted including Michael Moore.

Don't be an idiot, I know they've already hit, the whole world knows that. I'm talking in the present, not the past.

This is why I'm voting for Bush.

Kerry, he cannot handle the ads by the Swift Boat veterans which criticize his Vietnam war record. Kerry has been crying and whining over these ads and the movie "Stolen Honor" and can’t handle it anymore, he has even filed a complaint. What type of Commander In Chief would he make if he can’t handle the heat?

Bush, he can handle the heat from moveon.org, Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9-11 movie, war protestors, terrorists, and the world. He is a tough strong Commander In Chief and a fearless warrior who keeps on standing tall, positive, and strong. Nothing fazes President Bush.

On November 2004 I will vote for President Bush. I would like to see a real man as our President and not a rich spoiled crybaby Gigolo.

Well, I'll be truthful, I am a bit squeamish about it personally. I guess on that one I'll plead being guilty being old-fashioned and Victorian. B-) I guess if I was Emperor or "Supreme Dictator for Life" (ala "Calvin and Hobbes") I would say no. B-) But I'm not, I really wouldn't want that job anyways, too stressful and too many liabilities.

In today's world, I like the compromise of women serving in non-combat positions as has been the general policy as of late. Add to that, if they can do the job to the Army's requirements, than I have no problem with it.

I know I might risk the ire of even some Freepers, I guess like Michael Savage, I'm an independent conservative, well we cannot agree on everything.

I do admit it is a self imposed wrestling match in the back of my mind, when I see the radical feminists and so on who support FrankenKerry and similar idiots, maybe they should be drafted to see if they can "cash the checks they write with their mouths." Then again, they could turn their guns on all of us, so again I don't know.

I guess it leaves me in the position to what we have now, OK to serve but in non-combat roles. What a condundrum, I admit, there are times I have conflicting positions on this. All I can say is if the recruit, male or female can do that job the Army requires from them to do then I really have no problem.

A side note, I always liked "Calvin and Hobbes" and got a big kick out of him although I'd rather be "Spaceman Spiff" than "Supreme Dictator for Life." B-)

Michael Moore would be the new Army combat vehicle, we wouldn't need the Stryker. B-)
