2 Major Ohio Newspapers Endorse George W. Bush for President!
Cincy Enquirer, Columbus Dispatch ^ | 10/24/2004 | GoBucks2002

For president Despite missteps, Bush is better able to steer nation through difficulties ahead Sunday, October 24, 2004

Like millions of American voters, The Dispatch is less than enthused about the choices in next week’s presidential election. Neither President Bush nor Sen. John Kerry has built a record that leads to a clear-cut decision.

Since President Bush took office, this newspaper repeatedly has criticized his administration’s borrow-and-spend fiscal policies, which have resulted in massive deficits that weaken America.

The Dispatch also strongly opposed the invasion of Iraq, contending the case had not been made that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction or posed an imminent threat to this nation.

On the other hand, neither Kerry’s 20-year Senate record nor his shifting positions during the presidential campaign inspire confidence that he would provide the strong, resolute leadership America desperately needs.

Confronted with these disappointments and this choice, The Dispatch believes a second-term George W. Bush would stand a better chance of leading the nation up the difficult road that lies ahead.

There are two major Ohio newspapers? I thought the Cleveland Press went out of business - leaving only the Plain Dealer.

JUST KIDDING! - This is great news.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the metro/political beat offices of these newspapers. The Disgrace was allowing anti-Bush references into sports, weather, film reviews, cooking reviews, and local news reporting. The Ink-wire was just as bad. Both employ anti-Bush cartoonists and run Donnesbury in the comic pages.

As I said after the Indiana game yesterday, "it may not be pretty, but I'll take it."

IIRC that picture was taken by American soldiers in Iraq towards the end of major hostilities.

I look forward to the growing backlash against the left leaning media for manipulating the news we see and hear. Especially on the issue of Iraq.

Bravo Ohio!

Unfortunately, my local fishwrapper, the Ventura County (CA) Star endorsed Kerry. This wasn't surprising since I knew it was a left-wing rag but it still ticks me off.

I know that, but the editorial staffroom is not. The publisher is an out-of-town liberal. I mean, they have a tendency to endorse the favorites, but they take the liberal line on almost every issue.

How will the endorsement help the confusion caused by this absentee ballot for the county containing Cleveland?

The box hilited green will result in a no vote. The box hilited red is for Bush. Confusing or downright Illegal?

BUMP to your post. I've been saying for a long time now that the picture that appeared in the NY Post after the troops went into Iraq has been ignored -- even by the Bush team. If that doesn't look like a gloating Saddam taking credit for the attack, I don't know what does. Of course, it doesn't prove anything, but the fact that he had the mural done so soon after the 9/11 attack speaks volumes, IMO.

Criminal. The SOS office needs to put a stop to this!
