Scott Peterson's Defense Could Rest Tuesday Scott Peterson's defense team could rest its case Tuesday.
On Monday, his lawyer called on Peterson's mother to try to explain why he had nearly $15,000 in cash on him when he was arrested. She says she gave him back $10,000 that she accidentally withdrew from his account.
His lawyer also questioned police about whether someone else could have been responsible for the death of Scott's wife, Laci, and her baby.
Prosecutors say he killed her and dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay nearly two years ago.
The defense maintains ........

I love Nancy Grace's description of the Defense Expert "melting down" on the stand. she goes into this all his hair gel was running down his face, his hair fell forward, he was sweating and begging for them to "cut him some slack". Embarassing to say the least.

Have you noticed the rather subdued Janey Peterson of late??? Doesn't seem to be flapping her gums as much. I think these people are quite concerned. And they should be. For one thing, I doubt they could raise another Million and you can bet Geragos won't be sticking around for a re-trial if it becomes necessary.

I understand Jackie P. went through some ridiculous gyrations on the witness stand, explaining how she "misplaced" $10,000, took it from the wrong account or something, and... that's why Scott was carrying $15,000 in cash when they caught him.
Yeah, sure.
No jurors I've ever heard of were inclined to shed tears for some lady who has so many bank accounts that she gets them all mixed up...
