Scott Peterson's Defense Could Rest Tuesday Scott Peterson's defense team could rest its case Tuesday.
On Monday, his lawyer called on Peterson's mother to try to explain why he had nearly $15,000 in cash on him when he was arrested. She says she gave him back $10,000 that she accidentally withdrew from his account.
His lawyer also questioned police about whether someone else could have been responsible for the death of Scott's wife, Laci, and her baby.
Prosecutors say he killed her and dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay nearly two years ago.

Cardoza is officially gagged by the judge. He did a "mock" cross-examination of the inmate for the defense. This technically makes him part of the defense team, and he is no longer allowed to comment on this case. Boo hoo for him, hooray for us (I always thought he was a shill for Geragross)
I'll watch it. I can't take Lawerence O'Donnell's insane rantings on Scarborough (or possibly he had already been fired or put on medical leave. And L&O Special Victim's Unite has become too depressing and too agenda drive, no longer entertaining.
