Is he just holding back? Why not start pounding back on this now?

There is so, so, so much to say.

I thought there "weren't any weapons" Mr. Kerry? I thought that Saddam wasn't a danger? I thought we should have WAITED LONGER to remove Sadaam? I thought there weren't any terrorists in Iraq before the war?

Why not address this now? He can't just leave it up to Rush, Hannity and the internet...

...there's only a week left here!

Or does Bush know something we don't?

When your enemy is drowning, let him.

I don't know what the hell the President and his campaign are thinking!?! They should have pounced all over this. If this is part of the "new tone" I think the President has his head shoved up his arse.

Maybe he is giving Kerry enough rope to hang himself?

Bush knows a lot more than we do. Let him handle this. So far, so good.

No, you know more about it than he does.

Wow. That's a big surprise. What did Bush say about the forged memos again?

Who knows. It's inconceivable that he wasn't briefed on this, because it's obviously the big October Surprise.

OTOH, who knows what CNN actually asked and what the context was? Maybe they shouted this just as the president's plane was leaving? Maybe he had some other immediate obligation. There are ways to do trick questions, and CNN is just the outfit to do it.

This IS the "October surprise" it seems.
Were they ready for it, or will they just let this precious last week go by and not attempt to refute, to explain, to send a barrage of FACTS out there?
Maybe we need to help? We have some amazing researchers here.

Either Karl Rove is a genius or an idiot. I guess we'll know Tuesday night.

The Kerry "Obligation" ad was a terrible blunder. It connects Kerry personally to whatever scandal breaks. The CBS involvement smells. The administration has information at its disposal. Watch for a coordinated and devastating rebuttal. Kerry going down.

Was this Judy yelling a question from the crowd and Bush looking in her direction and smiling. Or was this an interview. "Declined to comment" means nothing. People shout questions to the President all the time. He doesn't spend his whole day answering silly questions.

Plus, he's in the middle of a chess game with Karl Rove.

One thing I have always respected about W is that he always takes the high-road. He could have whined and complained and sued a thousand times for all of the Moore, Soros, Kerry, Dean, Etc slander.

Not stooping to the Democrat's level is yet another reason he deserves our vote.

They probably shouted the question at him and he probably just turned and smiled.

Evidently Mort Kondracke is on the radio just now saying that NBC is going to change their own story tonight: they are going to say that the troops didn't search for the cache.

I don't see how in the hell Bush can refute any of this.

this is typical of team bush. no matter what, they stay on message, rather than allow whatever micro-issue has captured the attention of the media to drive the news cycle, and they are especially dismissive of whatever crap is coming out of the kerry camp. commenting on this drivel would merely make the thing a bigger story, and then the message would get lost in the static.

team bush will fight the missing explosives non-issue with surrogates, while the candidates drive the news cycle with their message.
