Bill Clinton's mystery blood infection and brain damage revealed

[World News]: London, Oct 30: He might have recovered from his recent quadruple heart bypass surgery, but former President Bill Clinton's illness is more than what meets the eye.

According to the National Enquirer, he may have suffered permanent brain damage due to the surgery. He has also been battling a deadly blood infection.

Insiders say that he is weak and suffering memory lapses. Doctors have given him blood thinners to prevent blood clots, antibiotics to treat his deadly infection and tranquilizers to calm his anxiety, say friends.

"Recovering from heart surgery has been a far more painful and miserable process for Bill than he's let on publicly. He's had a blood infection which doctors have been secretly treating," an insider was quoted as saying.

Brain damage fears were raised a month into Clinton's recuperation when he failed to recognize a Secret Service agent who has been with him since 2001, according to a source. (ANI)

You think the NYT is any better?

Or the AP or Reuters?

Whatever. . . I have a friend who had open-heart surgery on almost the same day as WJC and she's not back to normal yet but mentally astute enough to play Bridge all day. . . duplicate, that is, and win. Possible his side-effects are from something other than the surgery.

AIDS???

A blood infection has finally got an upperhand on a bleeding heart liberal.

There really is no cure for what is essentially a mental disorder.

You mean Kim Jong-il, pornographer in chief of the PDRK. Kim Il-sung, his daddy, is dead.

My wife works as a cardio-thorasic nurse and most of her patients are up and about long before this creep was.

Then Clinton's just an egocentric, attention-starved idiot....:))

He is an egocentric and attention starved but no idiot. In fact, I think he is too smart for his own good. That is not of help to oneself either.

B. Clinton himself who was eager to get out on the campaign trail

Yes. In one recent hour-long interview, Clinton mentioned Kerry once. In the first stage-act together, Kerry was introducing Clinton, and it sounded more like Clinton was the candidate, not Kerry.

GWB talks about hope and the future.
Bill Clinton talks about ... Bill Clinton.

[Remember the rage BC had toward Al Gore, because Al didn't let BC campaign for him in 2000. Yes. BC needs the spotlight.]

BTW, the one beatitude that gets me in a lot of trouble is the "Blessed are the merciful" one. I keep extending mercy to people that I probably really shouldn't....;))

It is possible to extend mercy and still hold one accountable for one's actions. It's a tough balancing act but doable.

The way I see it, "but for the grace of God go I", and then balance that with, "to whom much is given, much is required". Bill was given a lot...so he needs to be held accountable.

It isn't the heart lung machine per se....The brain suffers from the variable drops in BP and fluctuations in oxygenated blood during the surgery. The heart has to be stopped, blood lines switched over, medications given to keep the BP within tight perameters ect. This can lead to a type of diffuse anoxic damage affecting some patients very differently from one another. The post op meds also have an effect. A person who may have had a slightly elevated BP before surgery in which the brain has gotten used to having a higher blood flow may actually display stroke like symptoms, or even have a true stroke (hypo-volemic type) due to having "normal" BP following surgery!

Fortuantely most people who have had post op anoxic affects will get over them over a few months, Some effects will linger.

By the way were you Liberal before the surgery and conservative afterwards? I would say then, that you would have had a great surgical out-come! If you were conservative before the surgery, then I'm glad afterwards that you didn't end up as a BRAIN DAMAGED LIBERAL!

Kim Il-sung, his daddy, is dead.

You noticed the "sic", indicating either "I knew that." or "I don't care." I just like the sound of "Ill-Son" and and either one would support Kerry over Bush.

Bill Clinton talks about ... Bill Clinton.

Yes, it is a sad turn of events when a person is that needy. What a refreshing breath of fresh air GWB is!!!

Since Kerry has no good in his record to run on and nothing positive to say about himself he is the opposite of Clinton because he can't really talk about himself. Instead he talks mostly about GWB....putting him down of course but the very fact that GWB is the subject of all he says speaks volumes!

>>According to the National Enquirer, he may have suffered permanent brain damage due to the surgery.<<

Whoever would have guessed. I never imagined that Bill Clinton's brain had much to do with his personality. If I were looking for a more, er, defining organ, ahem, I would be looking further south.
