Can't remember ANY Republican embracing Duke. I put him in the same toilet with 'Calypso Louie'. Pat Buchanan did, and he was technically a Republican at the time, but no Pubbie who supported Duke held an office higher than Village Idiot...oh wait, that's Buchanan again.

I see Buchanan as an isolationist Jew-baiter. His politics reflect the Republican stance of the 30's and 40's.
Other than his immigration viewpoints, the rest of his rant leaves a dirty ring in the tub.
