Quizzing Ann Coulter
Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | October 27, 2004 | Bill Steigerwald

Posted on 11/01/2004 5:55:07 PM PST by FlyingHellfish

Comedic highlights from the Trib's interview with Ann:

Trib: Is there an easy way to spot a liberal, so you will know how to talk to him/her/it?

Ann: In the "blue" states, every bearded man seems to be a liberal. All the bearded women are.

Q: How can you tell John Kerry is a liberal?

A: The Botox, fake tans and latex skiing outfit.

Q: Is Teresa Heinz Kerry a strong woman?

A: Yes, if by "strong" you mean "crazy."

Q: Why don't you convert to libertarianism? You and John Stossel could get married and save America.

A: Libertarians are potheads posing as right-wingers. But John Stossel is a fine fellow. I just don't think I could go along with working "give me a break" into the wedding vows.

Q: Is there anything Bush could say, promise or do that would cost him your support?

A: "I agree with John Kerry."

Libertarians are potheads posing as right-wingers.

Pithy. Pointed. Perfect.

I had to look up Franz Luntz after reading the article. The page is in French, but from what I can gather, 59% of Palestinians wish to pursue more terrorist activities even if they get their own state. They are also muderous thugs.

Thick skin you have there. It was funny. Get over it.

I'm afraid I must agree with you.

Although I love reading what she has to say, and think her come-backs are very funny, I do not think they are useful in winning a reasonable person over to the right side.

She is brilliant and entertaining for those of us who agree. She is a thorn in the side of the enemy. She would not, however, win me over if I was in the middle somewhere, searching. I would follow a thoughtful, reasoned, and passionate tone...not one full of barbs.

I have a thick beard and hair down to my belt. I'm about as liberal as JenJiss Khan. For Ann's sake I suppose I should admit that, while I now live in the commie blue state of Vermont, I'm from Colorado.

You should have read Maceman's post. I think you bearded guys are a bit too sensitive these days.

It appears functional now. Geez, and I just got another one up. I'm a bit green at this, but I'm tryin'. It seems as if the whole crew pounced on the pics stuff. Good to see. Cowboy's duty: Always think of your crew. Sorry I was a tad slow, folks. Dialup stinks. Man, if I were about five years older...

Nope. I am a libertarian, and I don't smoke anything. And the only drug I use is an occasional glass of wine with dinner.

In a nutshell, libertarians simply believe that people should have the right to live their own lives as long as they allow others that same right. They believe government has its place, but it has no business doing for people what they can do, and should be doing, for themselves.

That's why they call it ... uh ...
That's why they call it ... uh ...
That's why, uh, what was the question?

Put another way:

Democrats think it's alright to steal money and give it to the poor.
Republicans think it's alright to steal money and give it to corporations.
Libertarians think it's wrong to steal money.

Spann_Tillman to Spann_Tillman: I am a teacher.

Uh, you might have been thinking that to yourself, but all of us heard it too! ;-)

"Republicans think it's alright to steal money and give it to corporations."

You are painting a little broadly:

DEMOCRATS will steal from anyone to give to anyone since their ends justify any means...and they have no compunction about stealing money to give to corporations.

REPUBLICANS who adhere to the party platform do NOT think that stealing is OK for any purpose, even corporate welfare.

Only SOME (mainly RINO) "Republicans think it's alright to steal money and give it to corporations."

And finally, SOME Libertarians are actually anarchists who've not come out of the closet.
