Drudge needs to be slapped down a little. He should never report numbers without knowing what the hell they mean. Personally, I always wait for confirmation from another news source before I believe Drudge.

ilove Ralph Reed... didn't he deliver Tennessee (Gore's homestate) to Bush in 2000? he was pivotal in 1994 and in 2002... i was quite happy to hear him on Hannity...

Thank you for that. The Reed segment was great - and it has nothing to do with "exit polls", but with TURNOUT.

They're hitting all their goals with three hours left - that's not counting the 9-5 workforce that hasn't voted.

PEOPLE. WE ARE GOING TO WIN THIS!

Only when they pass on bad numbers because of VNS or AP. It's like being back at the same time in 2000. I remember being depressed in the afternoon about the numbers, then coming home and having my mother tell me we lost Florida.

When NRO passes on good insider info, it's worth posting IMHO.

Ralph Reed was very reassuring.

PS NRO has a report from Strategic Vision polling saying they currently have Bush up 1 in FL.

He was pumped as hell!

Reed is generally easy going but he did have a great edge and positive tone.

A couple of comments:

1. Notice the lack of talk about the high turnout in the last couple of hours. I think the bad weather in the Midwest is having an impact. I believe this helps the cause.

2. It sure did not help things when everyone (especially the NRO people) overreacted to the Exit Poll thing, but let's face it this has been a long campaign and everyone is nervous. I think Jay Cost had a good comment yesterday about why folks are worried about the election. It is not that we are so concerned about the probability that W will lose (which I still believe is low) it is the negative consequences of a Kerry win no matter how remote the chances are.

Agreed. But when he does something stoopid, he needs to be called on it.

You can be sure that even if Bush wins by 100EV that the election will be challenged. Well its a decision they have to make. Will they continue the "illegitimate" and "stolen election" mantra to scare people or return the to the GOP will "kill social security" and "starve children" mantra. If we kill'em and they are smart they'll drop the stolen election mantra cause it backfired in 2002 and will in 2004 too.

Well, Ralph helped calm be early. I must admit I felt he sounded a little begging for votes near the end of the report when he was urging everyone to vote. Perhaps he was just being an election guy. Sean back saying its close. Drudge, Kerry won the hype because of you, you twit
