First...my apologies to all, for any "panic" vanities over the last several days. I am imposing a $25 fine on myself, payable to the FR, for my vanity violations.
Secondly, we have just more thing to do. I am calling on all Freepers to write one more letter to your local papers & and MSM outlets and tell them exactly how we feel about their duplicitous roll in trying to undermine the election process. Here is my letter...its short and simple.
We, the People, have spoken. The votes have been counted. The result of this election is a clear mandate by the People to keep George W. Bush in the White House and to strengthen the conservative "main stream" American base in the House & Senate.
Let this serve as message to the biased liberal media and the out-of-touch Hollywood Elite that we weren't fooled by your blatant attempts to undermine our election process.
It is time for the liberal media and Hollywood to clean up its act. The majority of this great country doesn't trust you, this much is clear. Your credibility is shattered and have tarnished your industry. Its time for you to change your ways.
Regards,
As I stated on another thread, when Tim Russett started at 3 this morning figuring out how WE could still eke out a win for Kerry, I was very upset.
BTTT -- I got very annoyed by Rather's always pro-Kerry "analysis"
The only way they'll listen is if it affects their Neilson ratings or circulation.
To paraphrase Lily Tomlin: "We're the MSM. We don't care. We don't have to!"
I don't know about anything that happened on those stations...I refused to watch. I only watched Fox News...which got me pissed off, when they wouldn 't call NV, NM, or IA for Bush, when they had 99% reporting.
The round of beer is a different matter...come to Jersey (the Blue State---UUUGHHH!!) and I'll by that beer! Man, I was a mess this week...didn't do a lick of work! Self-employed, thank God!.
Make it $50 and post another (in General/Chat, please).
You should make the check for at least $100. And no, I won't send that silly letter. And would you PLEASE lay off the vanities?
Bump! I think we do need a HUGH letter writing campaign, we are strong in numbers here, someone please post email addys to all MSM. Thanks.
But whether John Kerry's supporters are now celebrating or seeking asylum abroad, they should be feeling wretched about the millions of farmers, factory workers and waitresses who ended up voting - utterly against their own interests - for Republican candidates
They may think of suing the voters for voting wrong. Don't laugh - it happened ! In this country! Only a few years ago! In MA I think.
You don't have to get snippy!
I worked the polls until 9pm..sorry I missed all the FR fun! I can't wait to tell you all what a provisional ballot really is....It is a ballot voted by people who are not eligible to vote. About 10 to 20% at best are valid votes. The envelopes are sealed and reviewed and no one knows how that person voted the ballot until the envelope with the voter information is reviewed. Don't let these lawyers tell you differently!
Already done at an early hour this morning.
well done!!!
LOL....I have to laugh....I was a POLL worker (yeah, 17 hours straight) yesterday....working with COMMITTED DEMS who were calling their friends/family trying to get reports on what the results were, as we were trying to close things down at our location after 8pm.......I was LISTENING to local Conservative Talk RADIO, which they did not know. THEY were asking for the results from CNN...and were getting bogus info....it was hilarious for me to listen to as they were obviously happy about what they were hearing, while I was hearing that FLORIDA had gone for Bush, and Ohio probably would. The MSM kept THEM in the dark....I'm sure they were quite shocked when they arrived home after 11pm.
I agree and I actually believe that there should be some sort of law into place that would forbid announcing the EXIT POLLS which were absolutely WRONG. EXIT POLLS are not scientific and are completely irrelevant - and it seems to me are only useful as a means of propaganda to give the impression that the left was doing better than it was. This of course affects voter turnout for all who hear them! The news people should report the news, not make it (but that seems to no longer be the case - thank you NYT and CBS).
I mostly had the radio on listening to Laura Ingraham because Fox News was depressing me - but then I sensed a changed in the atmosphere when, around 8:30/9 p.m., they finally came to the conclusion that EXIT POLLS were completely wrong.
Every once in a while I'd check over at CBS (this is after midnight) - and EVERY TIME I DID, Dan Rather was coming up with NEW WAYS that Kerry could still win!
How pathetic...
Ya gotta love it.
I voted FOR George W. Bush, before I voted AGAINST John F'ng Kerry.
