As long as that waste of air Fine-gold stays in the senate, election laws are going to remain a mess - federal and state.
Especially in WI!
Why don't they call Iowa yet? I don't want Iowa to be known as the pink state!
AHEM all those Dem victories and then *I* moved to Ioway and now we are RED!
Now finally called NM too. Good to see Bush "flip" a couple of Gore 2000 states. This should put him at 286 EV's total. A little less than I expected, but of course very happy today. I did really think Bush would get WI, MI, or PA in addition ot IA and NM.
Probably a time lag between when I posted it and when you found that, alot of sites are reading the very same info
that would be Richardson, and I'd never be seen again.
Great!! Now maybe we could get rid of Harkin! That would be a nice change!
(I just had to post on this thread!)
"Fraud does NOT account for the loss of PA. PA was lost because of the Philadelphia suburbs, same as the last election. The State GOP needs to get their act together in SE PA."
I drove through there a few years ago. What do you suggest?
Should they send in a swat team?
I'm sooooo tired of hearing PA GOP'ers claim they lost PA because of fraud. It's a cop out. The Philly suburbs are full of RINO's. But that doesn't mean they can't be educated, or you can't approach them with Republican solutions to the issues. There are ethnic groups there that are extremely receptive to a conservative message, but vote Democrat for historical reasons. We can crack those blocks. It will be hard work. Yelling about a couple of rigged voting machines is easy.
There were many reports of fruad in PA durring the 2000 election as in most liberal meckas. One thing I have heard about this election(Rumor) is that they were bussing people from NY to vote in Philly. FR has a history with Philly via Don Adams. The unions are corrupt. I don't just believe this fraud occurs in PA alone. It happens far and wide. These groups that sell vote and get paid for votes and just plain have no respect for the law are a big part of the fraud across the country. There is a lot of fraud out there. There is bound to be because it is so easy. Our system is designed for it.
It need to be fixed. And burring our heads in the sand because we don't want to see it is not going get it fixed.
Furthermore, PA is no liberal Mecca. Sheesh. We went Reagan twice, never gave Clinton a majority, and have a very reliable conservative Senator in Santorum. Our legislature is typically under Republican control. Fifty of Sixty seven counties are controlled by Republicans. The only reason we have a Democrat Governor is because of an entirely hideous candidate with a horrendous campaign in 2004.
My District sent conservatives to the Assembly and the Senate. We have until 2006 to get ourselves organized to replace our Governor, who is a corrupt Rat. I am not yet sure what the WI legislature's composition is, right now. We needed a GOP majority to override the Governor for a property tax freeze he has also vetoed. The governor has vetoed ID for voting in the past. After Tuesday, I am not certain that the eyes of the entire state hven't been opened.
We did actually have to pre-register for the next election this past Election Day. Probably due to the HAVA.
We need to get a National Voting Reform Act passed, ASAP, IMO.
I was just at yahoo.com. Bush is leading Iowa by more than Kerry is leading New Hampshire or Wisconsin. Pisses me off they won't call it.
Good job Iowans.
I wish we Minnesotans had held up our end of the bargain. We stunk last night. Lost 13 Republican State House members as well as the Presidential race.
I don't get why a supposedly isolationist state like Iowa went to Bush, but Pennsylvania and Michigan went to Kerry!
When will we hear the outcome of CBS' investigation into Rathergate??
Well if Pennsylvania is conservative as you say, why has Bush lost twice in Penn to mediocre presidential candidates? I'm baffled by these results.
Thank you, Iowa! A little slow in the counting but you switched from Blue to Red. Welcome to the "Red State" column!
