Now that we have 04, who do we want in 08?

Everyone seems to think that Cheney won't seek the nomination for '08. So, we need to start thinking about who we want for the '08 ticket. Lots of names were bandied about before the election.
Now that we've got four years to think about it, who does everyone want to see on the '08 ticket?

I've been thinking a lot about who could neutralize the NY senator. Here's my suggestion for the ticket:

No senators, a good, southern conservative governor.

Rudy would seem the most likely. A Rudy-Rice ticket could do very well.
Just who people would vote for...

i think rudy will give it a go, don't you? the whole wife/girlfriend thing may be a problem, but otherwise, he sure worked the media, seemed above it all, loyal, and loving of the US... i think it's on his screen....

No rudy, no mccain, no rinos at all. It's inevitable on this kind of thread (and there are many of them) that every RINO in the book is named.

Definitely someone who will see the problem that illegal immigration has become. Someone who will push to eliminate the income tax once and for all.

I second that.
No McCain.
No Rudy.
I know it's wishful thinking, and I know he was one of a kind, but if we could get someone like Reagan in 08 that would be the best thing for this nation.
