WE'RE NOT SORRY that George W. Bush is our President!

A majority of us went out and voted on Nov. 2nd for President Bush.

There is no reason for us to apologize to the rest of the world because of our belief in Freedom and Democracy.

This website is for those of us who want to say to our fellow Americans that we believe in the President Bush and we believe in his agenda.

I felt the same way when I saw that photo.

Someone here or in Israel said something along the line "Now, all President Bush has to answer to is history and God!"

What is a REAL AMERICAN? I ask that question because I wonder if most of us think about what the original Real Americans were really like. Here is a link of what happened to the men (and their families) who believed that they had the right to not only criticize their government but paid a terrible price to create a country which ensured that all who lived within it had that same right.
http://www.keelynet.com/4th99.htm

And the thing is, that those founding fathers did not agree on how everything in the government should be structured. There were bitter disagreements between then.

So here's the thing. Some people voted for Bush, some voted for Carey. The people who voted for Carey are sorry that they will be governed by someone they feel does not represent them, their beliefs, convictions, etc., just as you would be sorry if Carey won. Yes?

In every country where man is free to think and to speak, differences of opinion will arise from difference of perception, and the imperfection of reason; but these differences when permitted, as in this happy country, to purify themselves by free discussion, are but as passing clouds overspreading our land transiently and leaving our horizon more bright and serene.--Thomas Jefferson

One last thought: I believe that the more passionate our beliefs are and the more spirited the disagreements the better the country. Why? Because no one gets mad over something they don't care about. If you owned something that you didn't care about and it was broken by someone, would you get mad? Perhaps, but you probably wouldn't stay that way for very long. What I fear are the people who didn't care enough about the country to vote. They didn't bother to think about the interests of their children, neighbors, friends and all fellow Americans. Either that or it was too much trouble to exercise this very precious exercise in liberty - a liberty that was and is so very costly to our founding fathers and to all of the young men and women who have served to protect us and this great land.

So, friend, I invite all of us, when we bitterly disagree with others on what we feel to be right/wrong for the country to remember that behind the issues, you are talking to someone who cares just as deeply about the same thing you do - America. Don't mistake the distaste that other person has for an idea for distaste for the country.

I am MORE than open to discussing opposing views I work in a research lab with hundreds of PhD's from the finest universities on the planet (Russia, Germany and France included) and have had many long and in-depth discussions during this election season - these talks actually convinced two scientists (one from China and one from Taiwan) to register and vote FOR THE 1st TIME IN THEIR LIFE. They both voted for Arnold here in California AND BUSH.

Also my mom, dad and both of my brothers are all democrats so I grew up having "open-minded" discussions with people that hold opposing views.

As for your response to my post - I TOTALLY disagree with your take on what http://www.werenotsorry.com/ is doing. It is a site in response to http://www.sorryeverybody.com/.
http://www.sorryeverybody.com/ states in the front page - and I quote:

"Some of us — hopefully most of us — are trying to understand and appreciate the effect our recent election will have on you, the citizens of the rest of the world. As our so-called leaders redouble their efforts to screw you over, please remember that some of us — hopefully most of us — are truly, truly sorry. And we'll say we're sorry, even on the behalf of the ones who aren't."

And you want me to consider these blame-America-first low lifes as patriotic fellow citizens?

You say, "Don't mistake the distaste that other person has for an idea for distaste for the country."

I don't "mistake" it for anything other than what it is, propaganda that gives aid and comfort to our enemies in time of war.

You can look up the 14th Amendment: Rights of Citizenship (Ratified July 9, 1868) section 3 and see for yourself what the Founding Fathers had to say about that.

I think I'll submit Bikini Girl to the Jersey GOP site, so she can be Republican Babe of the Week. :)

After all the arrogance from ignorant leftist fools like the Guardian(and the NY Times for that matter) who do not know anything about our country outside of New York, Washington, Boston, and LA, I don't care anymore. The voters all had enough as well outside of our decaying central cities(where the democrat vote is).

I'm not saying you are an arrogant and ignorant leftist fool, but I am saying that part of this election was an "F-You" to the Michael Moores, Hollywood, Media congolmerates, the UN, and the Guardians of the world - who really have nothing to be arrogant about.
