Unbelievable collection of litterati teeth gnashing. ODonnell really is looking for an exit from MSNBC if he made this comment.

the "blue states" should over the next 20 years seriously consider seceding from the union

the red states are welfare recipients without supporting the federal government.

Is this guy serious? I wonder how many welfare recipients there are in Nebraska vs. New York City? What a bunch of crybaby losers!

Christians should be denied the right to vote but murders, rapists and other criminals should be allowed? On what planet does this appear they way to build a decent society?

Well, if the lefties want to start another War of Secession I'd gladly enlist for an opportunity to have MY government sanction my taking shots at Garrison Keillor & etc.

I hope the radical left is as willing to die for their country as I'm willing to kill for mine. I think they'd call this 'serendipity'.

Disclaimer: I'm only hypothesizing legal, government sanctioned behavior.

Isn't it the Red States that feed the Blue States?

My feeling is that born-again people are citizens of heaven, that is where there citizenship is, is in heaven, it's not here among us in America.

And liberals hold citizenship in lala land, not America

The Republicans are basically unchecked

I'd say a national election is a pretty big "check" on all parties involved

I am now the chairman of a national campaign to pass a constitutional amendment to take the right to vote away from born-again Christians.

Did I miss something? Is anyone on the right sponsoring an amendment to "take (something)... away" from anyone?!?!? The only amendment I've seen is one that afirms what has been the case for over 1,000 years.

The Dems reaction to the election reminds me of an old rock group called question mark and the mysterians and their one hit wonder: "96 Tears"

Too many teardrops for one heart to be cryin'
Too many teardrops for one heart
To carry on
You're gonna cry ninety-six tears
You're gonna cry ninety-six tears
You're gonna cry cry, cry, cry, now
You're gonna cry cry, cry, cry
Ninety-six tears c'mon and lemme hear you cry, now
Ninety-six tears (whoo!) I wanna hear you cry
Night and day, yeah, all night long
Uh-ninety-six tears cry cry cry
C'mon baby, let me hear you cry now, all night long
Uh-ninety-six tears! Yeah! C'mon now
Uh-ninety-six tears!

I stopped listening to/reading Keillor long ago. Funny thing is, most of his family are "born-again Christians", ones with whom I am personally acquainted. He's targeting his own kinfolk, not just his countrymen.

"Sick" doesn't begin to cover it.

I believe he was referring to the amount of government dollars spent in those states versus the amount of tax dollars the government gets from those states.

O'Donnell really is looking for an exit from MSNBC if he made this comment.

Are you kidding?! He's right at home there among people like Chris Matthews and Ron "Pea" Reagan, among other Leftist shills. O'Donnell is the nephew of and shares the same name as the Lawrence O'Donnell who was in John F. Kennedy's inner circle. So just through this connection alone, the younger O'Donnell is considered royalty among the Dem/Left glitterati.

What they'd find is that the 49.9% of New Yorkers who voted for Bush would move to Virginia or Texas the day after such a split up, and that NY would not be that terribly wealthy a place afterwards.
