36 Americans were captured in an Industrial neighborhood yesterday on board three tanks and three armoured jeeps, when the Mujahudeen encircled them, isolating them from the rest of their column.
Leaders of the Mujahdeen Column of Fallujah have announced as a part of their information struggle against US troops, 'resistance' fighters had filmed occupation prisoners being held inside Fallujah.
The prisoners who were filmed numbered 36 and included some women US soliders. All were captured in Fallujah's industrial zone Monday morning.
Abu Asad, president of the Council of Mujahideen of Fallujah announced to Mafkarat al-Islam's correspondant that after filming the American prisoners, they gave the film to Al Jazeera and Al Arabiyah satellite TV stations.
The two stations refused to air the tape for 'security reasons.'
In fact they were afraid of American reprisals against their stations if they were to broadcast the videotapes, as previously happened to Al Jazzera after they showed film of US prisoners at the start of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Regardless of their reasons, this is a deviation for both networks. It is expected that visuals will be posted to the web in coming days.

We have 15,000 troops deployed in this operation. Estimated total of residual terrorists who haven't managed to slip out of Fallujah...3,000. They are outnumbered 5-to-1 and outgunned with air cover, oh, maybe 10,000 to one.
How likely that an entire column is going to be bushwacked without cobras and apaches being on the enemy jihadists like stink on... ?

I find it hard to believe that people with tanks, which means RADIO COMMUNICATION would get surrounded and captured.
MULTIPLE TANKS means multiple radios, along with all other radio comm gear they have.
There are Beau Coup aircraft and helicopters just itching to strike, and to hear a unit surrounded, they can pop a flare or something, smoke, whatever.
I doubt this story is accurate.

Of course this "stupid white man" would run a very large risk of getting his ass shot off while filming against American troops, but hey thats the trouble with filming live combat eh? :-)

This doesn't make sense. The column would have turned around and came back for them. How do you isolate five vehicles without the rest of the column knowing about it?
