The folks who do the WH captions are sometimes very funny. I really loved today's photo and caption. Barney looks like he got caught doing a no-no.

Hi samiam. (Love your screen name by the way. That's funny).

Since you have such little kids and have looked at homemom's profile page, I can tell you that her book is great.

Worth having IMO.

RE: Arafat--

I got an email from his wife!!! If I help her get the money over here, I get part of it!!!!! Isn't that EXCITING?!?!?! I can't imagine where she got MY email address, but I see easy street ahead, as soon as she gets the money transferred to my account!!!!!

LOL!

At another discussion board there is a thread called "keeping track of the annoying african" and my friend there regularly gets e-mails asking to help get money transfered from Africa.

I have some prome beachfront property in Arizona, too...

Hehehe...

I think they are going to tire of that allowance very quickly don't you?

Besides don't they get their money primarily from US? I sure don't want to pay her.

It's referred to as the Cross Hall.

***It's called the Cross Hall.***

I'm assuming they only put that red carpet down for special occasions. Do you know if that's right?

It's called the Cross Hall, and although there used to be two staircases that opened into the Cross Hall, one was removed, and later the remaining staircase was repositioned to open to the Entrance Hall.

During the 19th century two principal stairways led to the second floor. The broad staircase at the west end of the Cross Hall was removed in 1902 to increase the size of the State Dining Room. At the same time, the remaining stairway, opening into the Cross Hall, was enlarged. During the 1948-52 renovation, this stairway was repositioned to open into the Entrance Hall.

Psalm 122

1 I was glad when they said to me,
"Let us go into the house of the LORD."
        2Our feet have been standing
        Within your gates, O Jerusalem!

        3Jerusalem is built
As a city that is compact together,
        4Where the tribes go up,
        The tribes of the LORD,
        To the Testimony of Israel,
To give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5For thrones are set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
"May they prosper who love you.
        7Peace be within your walls,
        Prosperity within your palaces."
8For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, "Peace be within you."
9Because of the house of the LORD our God
        I will seek your good.

The President and PM looked and sounded AWESOME today!!!

FYI: C-SPAN WILL RE-BROADCAST THE PRESS CONFERENCE AT 9:25 PM EST!

Even though I don't plan to analyze ANY more polls until a week before the 2006 elections, I did enjoy perusing results from Gallup's latest survey (purely for the purpose of benchmarking):

EXCERPT
Bush Gets Post-Election Bounce
President George W. Bush's job approval is now at 53%, up from 48% measured just before the election. This five-point bounce is slightly larger than the average bounce for re-elected presidents since 1956. Bush's approval on terrorism is at 60%, up three points from before the election.

It's extremely fortunate that American liberals with Tony Blair's character are never nominated for the presidency.

Hi homemom. I got caught up in phone call with daughter and her plans to come home for Thanksgiving. Great pix today of the President and PM. I think it's humorous that the only thing the media could speculate before the pressers was that all Bush/Blair were talking about was Israel/Palestine.

I'm sure they were also laying the groundwork for the next year(s) in Iraq, Iran and the WOT. And other subjects we may never even know about. I feel in good hands with those two at the helm. They are doing their level best.

Suha better spend plenty of it on bodyguards, IMO. Knowing how things work with those people. Egads yes, America, Europe etc. gave obscene amounts of $$ to Arafat every month. No different than in Thomas Jefferson's time with the barbary pirates, actually.
