I think there's a name but I don't know what . . . IIRR, at the end of that hall is the staircase that goes up to the residence.
Thoughts on the Peterson verdict? Other than a very powerful statement that unborn children are BABIES???
Hey, I found the name! It is called the Cross Hall. I found it on the White House website under Curator's tours.
I'll have to watch all of those videos. It is very interesting. Better than the other video tours I think.
More detail.
Here's the link.

It's called the Cross Hall, and although there used to be two staircases that opened into the Cross Hall, one was removed, and later the remaining staircase was repositioned to open to the Entrance Hall.
During the 19th century two principal stairways led to the second floor. The broad staircase at the west end of the Cross Hall was removed in 1902 to increase the size of the State Dining Room. At the same time, the remaining stairway, opening into the Cross Hall, was enlarged. During the 1948-52 renovation, this stairway was repositioned to open into the Entrance Hall.
