Hopefully GWB will say, "We don't NEED a Secretary of Agriculture!"

Other than Condi and Rumsfeld, who in the cabinet (I know, Condi isn't in the cabinet) have been strong advocates and supporters of the President and his agenda? I can't think of any. Maybe Elain Chao.

Please let it be Norman Mineta.

I think the President should appoint Don Nickles as Secretary of Agriculture -- great conservative from a solid red state who is retiring from the Senate.

CNN sounds like the fourth is Rod Paige, but he already announced.

And the WH says there will be one more announced today. What is that now, six resignations? And there might be more on the way? MSNBC says sources close to Condi Rice say she wants to "move up or move out". If that's the case I don't expect her to stay unless she get's Powell or Rumsfeld's job.

Bush sure was right when he said there would be changes!

Elaine Chao has been extremely supportive of the President everytime I have heard her speak -- other than that I cannot think of any. IMO President Bush is now going to name the cabinet he wanted all along!

Condi to State Department IMHO! She is more than capable of doing housecleaning that the State Department needs. First CIA, now State Department, while DoD is well underway in cleaning house. I am loving every minute of this!

If there are no new minority appointments, Bush will be labeled a racist by Jesseh and Sharpton.

Notice how the right-wingers will serve one term, and afterward leave to pursue other interests?
In short, they've a life.

As opposed to the 'Rats serving in these capacities who the nation's stuck with.

...often for life.

The MSM is going to try and make a big deal about this, but unlike democrat administrations, Republican cabinets tend to have a big turnover when the President is elected to a second term. This is because the people Republicans pick are usually successful in the private sector, whereas democrat choices tend to be career government people who have no other career abilities in the private sector.

I saw Joe Lieberman on a clip from FOX yesterday and he almost seemed angling for a Cabinet appointment. IMHO.

"Ann Veneman, secretary of Agriculture out also."

As a former ranch operator I welcome this change. Veneman was a bureaucrat and IMHO should never have been appointed Secretary of Agriculture to start with. That was kin to giving me a job as a nuclear physicist.

Why not Don Rickles? Press conferences would be a hoot.
