I respect Arnold, but amending the Constitution is where we part company. That would give every wealthy European socialist a chance to get into the White House.

AMEN!

No amendment to the Constitution to allow foreign born. Not now, not ever.

Unless you like the sound of "President Soros" or "President Granholm".

I'm more concerned about the growing Latino voting bloc....not ready for Aztlan yet.

No one in a small state can affirm this constitutional amendment. The Granholm/Soros bill even with Arnold's blessing will never pass and it should not.

I like Arnold, but I will NEVER support the foreign born being US President. The framers of the Constitution knew what they meant, and intended what they provided in the Constitution for a GOOD reason. If we monkey with the Constitution too much we'll lose it.

.....Arnold, you're a fine man. It ain't gonna happen......

That is to say....

Arnold, you're a fine man. It ain't gonna happen.

It was said so well it bears repeating word for word.

Trust the the Framers of the Constitution. No Foreign applicants need Apply. Imagine "Mandela" for President. Sorry to ruin your Breakfast but I had to make a point.

I really don't get this. He hasn't done anything. I appreciated his wonderful GOP Convention speech, but so far, as far as being Governor goes, he's a more genial and photogenic Gray Davis.

Change the Constitution so an ex-bodybuilder turned robotic actor turned socially liberal Republican governor can become president?

I think not.

I agree with the pundits on this one - a pro-abortion Republican candidate will not get the nomination even if he/she is a native born American.

He could switch his party affiliation and possibly have a chance but again, he is not native born.

My folks brought me to America a week before my 5th birthday in 1963. Unless I told you that I was born in Canada, you would not be able to distinguish me from any other married white male on this board. I resent all of the comments that I have read here that imply my citizenship, granted in 1974, is any less than yours. It takes someone like my parents who escaped Communist Hungary in 1956 to give you an appreciation for the opportunities that the U.S. provides. I don't understand how the residency of your parents at the time you were born makes you in anyway superior to anyone else legitimately in this country.
