Someone should start a drive or petition to not have the law ammended or changed...I like it just the way it is. Otherwise it leaves a loophole for the likes of George Soros.

NEVER change the law forbidding foreign-born presidents! Especially when it's designed to get another social liberal into the White House.

I respect Arnold, but amending the Constitution is where we part company.

That would give every wealthy European socialist a chance to get into the White House.

The first qualification for the Presidency *ought* to be putting the good of the country before one's own personal ambitions.

No, Arnold.

AMEN to that!
Isn't there a group formed to stopthearnoldamendment?
Anyone have any links to a website to STOP the amendforarnold MOVEMENT? And it is a movement. Bet the ACLU gets in on the act.

The libs are extreme about wanting the amendment for foreign born to be pres.

Good grief they must have someone horrid in mind who is foreign born to be pres and thats why they are not only supporting it they are salivating over the prospect.

Anyone see crossfire yesterday? Begala and Tucker actually traded sides and begala sat on the right and Tucker on the left because Tucker said he is totally against it and Begala is for it.

If the libs are for it we need to NOT allow it to pass!
Just imagine foreign born first lady's like Heinz almost was.
God FORBID!!

There are so many good solid American born Republicans who can and will run our Country the way we want it ran we dont need the likes of a Arnie or a Heinz etc etc.
Imagine a foreign born pres assigning foreign born supreme court judges God Forbid!

Simple way to stop this. Include an amendment to remove term limits. Let Bill run against W and put the final nail in the Clinton legacy coffin. Come to think of it Hillary would be really POed. :>)

The take over there seems to focus on Arnold himself- which seems to imply that some other foreign-born candidate would be OK. This, to me, completely misses the point.

I don't want a George Soros, or a Mikhail Gorbachev or anybody else with agendas or allegiances to other countries in the Oval Office. We have enough of that now as it is. Even the Leftists who lurk this site ought to be able to see the potential for disaster in this-- Imagine a President Ariel Sharon in 2012.

This is a bad idea that ought to go down hard in a storm of FLAK from both sides of the aisle.

Many nations allow, even encourage, dual citizenship.

So, if this amendment did pass, the Presidential candidates could literally come from anywhere in the world, just so they gained citizenship 20 years earlier.

This amendment opens up a can of worms like we never want to see. Look how many thought the Campaign Finance Reform would be the greatest deed since the invention of ice cream and it turned out to be a fiasco.

LEAVE THE CONSTITUTION ALONE.

The Founding Fathers had greater insight and intelligence than the current self-interest, self-serving, selfish politicians do. The self-servers would change the Constitution every month on every whim, if they could.

Just 4 years ago, they were wanting to change it so Bill Clinton could run for a 3rd term. Think they would push that now?

Just 4 years ago, they wanted to throw out the Electoral College and go strictly on popular votes. Notice they aren't pushing that now.
