He's dead, isn't he? I seem to remember his head half blown off and him lying in a morgue.

That should have been one of the photos of the year.

God forgive me.

There are tons of pictures of the President with children - each one more precious than anything seen in these socalled pictures of the year....

A thread that calls for favorite pictures of the year...to counter Reuters bogus (except for one) photos of the year. Yes we are BIASED as we should be since the President of the USA impacts as much of the world today as the remote people of Northern Russia that took up 4 or 5 pictures and Jack Valenti who evidently deserved 7 pictures in the lineup.

There are so many pictures - that qualify as pictures of the year. At least Reuters put in the one of the President receiving his concession call from Kerry. That is the only legitimate one IMHO.

I thought the Palestinian picture was some sort of West Side Story performance at first...

I'd vote for the Kerry + curtains picture; Kerry looks utterly alone, rejected, and unhappy.

The Bush pictures are quite cute, but can't read a lot of meaning into them... unless you want to use the umbrella as a metaphor for holding onto his presidency during the tough campaigning. The concession picture of Bush by his desk is odd, you'd think he would've been more happy.

Moore's picture of him grinning hugely can be considered "most ironic". Pride goeth before a fall.

If anyone has the pic of President Bush hugging the little girl from Ohio who lost her mom on Sept 11, 2001, please post it. That one should be a favorite, it sure is for me.
