I am just wondering with which material he stuffed his coat.
It looks that way, although he's only been charged, not convicted.
That is my gut feeling.
Yup, Had my suspicions all along.
Just TOO Convienent, and no other american has been captured by the Terrorists and lived to tell about it. They've never had any problems killing muslims either.

Which brings up a point: Since everyone who falls into their hands ends up decapitated, why is our government still proceeding with the fiction that adhearing to the Geneva conventions "Protects our troops"?
I thought there was something fishy about the whole thing from the beginning...especially by the way the Pentagon was dancing around the notion of this being a real hostage situation. They knew something was wrong with the whole thing. I'm not saying he's guilty, but there was enough wrong with the story to charge him.
Lets see, two Muslim GIs have made the national news. One faked his own kidnapping and deserted, the other rolled a grenade into the tent housing his fellow soldiers. Seems like the heart of American Muslim soldiers has shown itself pretty clearly.
Well, now..... How many muslims are in the service? We should get the denominator before be start building our fractions.
Besides you forgot the interogater that they had to remove from Gitmo...
And, Yes, I am the same Konaice that has very little good to post here about Islam: The ROP!.
Reading between the lines of news articles yields whole bunches of questions and the desire for more answers. Why desertion? Why not treason? He did make a video while "captive". The cover story stunk to begin with.
It may be the problem is that there is a "American Muslim Military". Seems to be a conflict of interests to me. I served in the military during the Viet Nam era and I do not recall a "American VC Military" except for Hanoi Jane and John Kerry.
As usual, the Political Correctness that we are constantly reminded of Bites Us in the area that we all sit on.
I believe the Geneva Convention applies to military personell, not terrorists. We should not allow the "rules of war" to apply to a group of people who have no rules.

In WW2, thousands of Japanese-Americans served in the US Army. Even though their culture was Japanese, they saw themselves as Americans first. Something that cannot be said of Muslims since their first loyalty MUST BE TO ISLAM.
I belirve it's Factions not
Fractions.
If it looks like one, smells like one, more than likely, it is one.
Any word on which article he is being charged? 86 is Desertion, 87 AWOL
Whoops -
85 = Desertion
86 = AWOL
Thomas Fleming did . . . and he was one of the first to be abducted.
Then get their loyalty the hell out of the Military of the U.S.A.
and let our Troops do their job without any questions as to whether to "Islamist" next to me friend or foe..
