According to freelance journalist Wayne Madsen, George W Bush's bloodlust, his repeated commitment to Christian belief, and his constant references to "evil doers" in the eyes of many devout Catholic leaders bear all the hallmarks of the one warned about in the Book of Revelations--the anti-Christ.

As usual the idiots on the left overlook the facts that don't fit. The traditional view of the Antichrist is one of someone widely loved around the world.

Well, given such a well-thought-out and detailed analysis, combined with the sterling credentials of 'freelance journalist,' I'm certainly convinced. [/sarc]

Boy, one can stitch anything together to back a rant.

A few weeks ago, our substitute priest spoke about the antichrist. He warned against that type of speculation and sensationalism.

The Pope, I believe, was speaking of the religion of Secularism, not GWII when he warned of an antichrist present in the world.

This has come up before. It was either after Bush's last victory or after 9/11; I'm not quite sure.

But the libs have floated this theory out there before.

You left out the good stuff: "Madsen, a Washington-based writer and columnist, who often writes for Counterpunch,..." and "Madsen contends that "Bush is a dangerous right-wing ideologue who couples his political fanaticism with a neo-Christian blood cult.""

Any one who writes for "Counterpunch" is a real nut case.

BTW, Staint Paul had some good words on how to identify the real anti-christ. Paraphrasing, one has only to compare their words and deeds to the scriptures. Now, the challenge for this nutjob is to identify specific words actions of Mr. Bush that contradict scripture. And, no, 'going to war' is not one of them.

Madsen can't even tell time, much less the anti-Christ.

That's one thing that IS consistent about the left. They pick and choose their facts carefully. Emphasize the ones that bolster their case, and simply ignore the ones that don't. They have the unique ability to "censor" their own thought

True enough ~ widely loved by the "world" (and we know that is synonymous with "world of sinfulness" ~ like Kerry!

Besides that the anti-Christ is most likely going to carry the same genetic coding as all other descendants of Aaron, and Kerry's got that too.

This nutcase has the right "time", but the wrong "guy".

They espoused this with President Reagan as well. Same mantra, different day.

Well since George Bush is pretty much reviled around the world, he must be the anti-anti-christ.

Unless W finds some way to turn his 8 year "reign" over ONE nation into a multiple year "reign" over the entire world pretty soon, he'll never get to be the Anti-Christ!!

He better hurry, he's running out of time!

Ah, yes, the "Mahdi Theory of 'W'"

There's a student group in Iran who hold to that concept.
