According to freelance journalist Wayne Madsen, George W Bush's bloodlust, his repeated commitment to Christian belief, and his constant references to "evil doers" in the eyes of many devout Catholic leaders bear all the hallmarks of the one warned about in the Book of Revelations--the anti-Christ.

Why is it posted in a breaking news thread?

Dunno. Perhaps you should ask the person who posted it.

Before he became pope, Karol Cardinal Wojtyla said, "We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel."

Uh, didn't he become Pope like 25 years ago during Reagan? And isn't the anti-Christ supposed to be very popular among the Europeans?

And, unless I missed something, was it George W. Bush who rammed the towers with planes and killed 3000 innocent civilians?

I would say Bush is the anti-antichrist if anything.

The article is old, from 2003. Madsen is deluded as has been pointed out and as the article indicates: The Pope has taken on Communism and witnessed Nazi hatred for Christ. There is no way he could use the word "Bush" and "Antichrist" in the same sentence.

You have far more respect for the Pope than I, then. He's the head of the RCC. Nothing he says could surprise me. Well, if he said, "All our made-up doctrines are damning nonsense; from now on, we must preach the pure Word of God alone, the grace of God alone, the glories of Christ alone! Oh, and I quit!" — that would surprise me.

Talk about turning things upside down and calling good eveil and eveil good...which by the way, is another sign of the end times.

Amen to that. I think I need to review my Bible in closer detail.

The traditional view of the Antichrist is one of someone widely loved around the world.

Leftists never crack open a Bible except to find a few verses they can take out of context then twist to fit their putrid agenda.

The Antichrist will be a "man of peace" and deceive many. He will be like Gandhi or Mother Tresa in effect. The MSM and most people will love him.

That obviously isn't the case with GW Bush, eh?

Wouldn't you just know it!

I'm not surprised, but I nonetheless, I find myself shaking my head in disgust. The pope is worried about our president. Cute.

While he shunned his own twenty-five year duty to wash away the sins smeared by sodomite priests like feces on the walls of His Church, and his colossal failure to control a blasphemous religious that publicly stand to question the fundamental dogma of our faith. This architect of doom dares have the audacity to declare to the world it needs to fear President George Bush. He dares label our president - ( our president !!! ) - evil.

I know a greater evil! Evil is screwing up a young boy for life, because protecting a rapist priest - not defrocking him - was decided a higher priority. That is a greater evil.

Allowing predator rapists to perpetuate their sin, and human suffering. That is the greater evil !

And he dares call our president evil. God knows the sin this man carries in the Vatican. I know God will deal with him. Of this I am certain. I'm equally certain I wouldn't walk in his shoes for all the tea in China.

To be frank, I do not agree with almost everything our president has done or is doing domestically. Allowing illegals from any country stay in America just because they escaped detection at the border - which in itself should be an alarm bell in the Congress and the vaunted 'Homeland Security'. All that aside, I will not let anyone, especially a man who comes before us with unclean hands, to take a cheap and transparent shot at the brave work our military has done to stop the muslim extremists from taking over the entire Middle East. For his stead-fast determination to rid the world of two-bit , but dangerous, dictators.

Coincidentally, not unlike the burden we must share to financially overcome the stupidity and intentional disarming of our fighting men and women under the two term co-presidents Billary, American Roman Catholic parishioners are expected to pony up for the financial clean-up left in the wake of the hydrogen bomb sodomites and their collusion with them exploded that has broken the back of the Roman Catholic Church in America. Dumping the property owned by the Vatican along the Potomac would pay the bill, but then that would ease the financial strain now placed on the backs of parishioners. Close churches. Make it more difficult for the American faithful to attend Holy Mass. Suffering strengthens the soul. What of the sodomites? How do they suffer? Do they suffer?

How interesting that we had a rapist president use the illegal bombing of Yugoslavia to distract America's from the sex scandal taking place under our desk in the Oval Office, and now lo and behold, we have a pathetic attempt by a pope who could have made a difference, making instead a transparent attempt to turn Roman Catholics away from his incredibly destructive commissions and omissions, which hatched a depth of moral damage and human suffering unknown to the Church in its two thousand ( 2,000 ) year history.

IMO, these two neurotic and narcissistic men have - at the same period in history - purposely attacked the morality and spirituality of mankind, without challenge..

This can only be described another Vatican "pot calling the kettle black" dead-end scenario - coming from a guy who's spent the past twenty-five years promoting tapes, books, doing photo opps, participating at mass rallies where he intentionally shared the stages with heretics, pagans, false god idolaters for what purpose? He was 'reaching out', we're told. But no conversion was attempted.

It was a 'feel good' thing. A 'can't we all get along' thing. A 'we all pray to the same god' heresy led by this pope and his band of personally selected bishops; guiding the faithful down a path to hell.

I'm not qualified to make that judgment but with his UN ambitions and Hillary's white house ambitions they certainly fit the bill much better.

The writer (Madsen) is delusional to think that "Bush is a dangerous Right-wing ideologue who couple his political fanaticism with a neo-christian Blood Cult!"

This is opinion, not fact! The pope is taken out of context because I have read his four books. He was talking about the fight with Communism not the End of times. The Pope was against the war but for good reason; He is the pope! Very few popes in Catholic history have supported any war!

This report is making up sources. I want Names! Who close to the pope is saying these thing! I have never read such junk. Madsen is just bitter that President Bush won the election! He is trying to get at the 52% of American catholics the disagree with him back for voting the way they did. Same on him!

I am sure Cardinal Ratisger has a different opinion about the end of times. They have been saying it is the end of time since the 13th century. Many thought the end of time was during WWI but we still carry on. It happens when it Happen. Nobody knows for sure when that will be!
