A former CIA officer is suing his employers for retaliating against him for his alleged refusal to falsify reports on weapons of mass destruction.
In a complaint published on Wednesday, the unnamed operative said he was warned by a colleague that management wanted to "get him" for his actions.
His reports were "contrary to official dogma", the document says.
The subject of the reporting has been blacked out, but correspondents say the complaint clearly refers to Iraq.
The CIA has refused to comment on the lawsuit, but spokeswoman Anya Guilsher told the Washington Post newspaper that the idea that officers were ordered to falsify reports was "flat wrong".
'Sham'
The plaintiff maintains that he had attempted to report intelligence on weapons of mass destruction in 2001 and 2002, but was thwarted by his superiors who then insisted on his falsifying his reports.
When he refused to do this, investigations were allegedly made against him into allegations that he had sex with a female informer and stole money used to pay informers.
The plaintiff said in the complaint that both investigations were "a sham, initiated for the sole purpose of discrediting him and retaliating against him".
The operative was sacked in August 2004 for "unspecific reasons", but is seeking the restoration of his salary, job and promotions denied to him, as well as compensation.
The plaintiff's lawyer, Roy Krieger, has requested a meeting with CIA Director Porter Goss, or another representative, to discuss the allegations in this case, "including deliberately misleading the president on intelligence concerning weapons of mass destruction".

Does he really want to go back to the organization that fired him? That is prima facie evidence of poor judgement to me. Poor judgement. Hmmm....

It is possible this guy never worked for the CIA and is just fishing for information and/or trying to embarrass the CIA.

The story was broken by a journalist and quickly withdrawn. Take a look at the inscriptions. SOMAN, SARIN, V Gases. These are standard testing kits for the presence of nerve agents. Utter non-sense. The green band might be US mil standards, but it does not exist world-wide. The US military stated that the initial tests using basic meter instruments was wrong. A second test produced a negative result. Why do you still inist that this was a chemical warhead?
Those examples are as bad as you posting the picture of the SA-3 GUIDELINE travelling through the outskirts of Baghhdad. Remember that?

KIRKUK, Iraq (CNN) -- A second set of preliminary chemical tests conducted Saturday on a warhead discovered at an occupied northern Iraqi airbase in Kirkuk found no trace of chemical weaponry, contradicting earlier tests which found trace amounts of a nerve agent.
The warhead tested at zero on a six-bar scale in two separate "Improved Chemical Agent Monitor" (ICAM) tests conducted by U.S. soldiers after two other tests performed with ICAM equipment by other soldiers scored one bar each time.
One of the soldiers who performed the second set of tests told CNN that nothing much should be read into the findings because no definitive answers will emerge until chemical experts arrive at the base and break into the warhead. Those experts were notified of the warhead's discovery, but it is not clear when they will arrive at the base.
The initial one-bar score would be consistent with some leakage from a chemically armed weapon, military sources had told CNN. The earlier trace amounts were found in two spots on the baseball bat-length warhead -- at the rear and in the middle where there is a screwed-down circular area about the size of a quarter.
The warhead is about the width of a coffee can and is marked with a green band which, military sources told CNN, is the universal symbol for chemical weaponry.
Soldiers were standing guard Saturday outside the storage facility where the warhead was discovered Friday during routine operations to secure the airfield. A big wooden box next to the one containing the warhead had a 13-foot missile in it, though CNN has not been able to confirm a connection between the two.
That missile is but one of many troops have found at the base. Some underground bunkers the size of basketball courts were discovered piled high with cans of munitions, crates of missiles, and number of 1,000-pound bombs.
"It appears as though the airbase was evacuated hastily," Maj. Rob Gowan, a public affairs officer said. "A lot of indicators seem to say that the Iraqi forces that were here left very quickly."
In a separate incident, a man who said he is the base's former commander stepped forward with additional information on possible chemical weaponry.
The former Iraqi air force colonel came to Kirkuk Friday and told military officials he knew of 120 missiles within about an 18-mile radius of Kirkuk -- 24 of those carrying chemical munitions, according to an army intelligence posting at the airfield's military headquarters.
The man said he had been liberated from an Iraqi prison after Kirkuk fell to coalition forces, military intelligence said."

It is an example of having inbedded journalists with the troops. The info is reported immediately as fact. The meters used are basic and gave false readings on the warhead. They have given false reading on many cache findings including mortar shells. Further detailed analysis of the green banded warhead found it to be a standard soviet supplied warhead filled with high explosives.

The one caught on video moving through the outskirts of Baghdad. You fell immediately into the trap of "Calling Hans Blix". The missile was in fact perfectly legal for Iraq to own and operate.
My posting of the missile image from the US State Gov site is an example of misleading information. Can you identify the missile in the image that I have posted? You do realise the consequences of this type being discovered by US forces in Iraq?

But you are still posting the info as fact. It was not a chemical warhead. It was a standard Soviet warhead for an air-to-surface missile. Perfectly legal for Iraq to own and operate. The meters used, as in numerous cases, was bogus. The meters are not perfect and do give false readings. In those cases they were false yet you still post these images time and time again.
