I lost my Grandma last night. This is difficult to type through my tears. I watched her fade away over the past few months as she fought her many ailments until they eventually overtook her. I thank God that I had the opportunity to tell her how much I loved her before the end. She is in a better place now, with my Grandfather.
She worked most of her life for United Cerebral Palsy, helping those who couldn't help themselves. She was most happy when she was helping others.
Please think of Grandma Gertie in your prayers. Also, for my Father, who was there for her, and all of us, until she drew her last breath.
Thank you all, and God Bless.
God Bless you and your family...Prayer is important during these times.

Prayers for your grandma. Celebrate her life by recalling the fun times.
I once had someone I loved very much who was named Gertie. She sort of raised me.
Prayers for your Gertie...and mine.
(((hugs))) Grandmas are special. May God bless and comfort your family.
I'm praying that the Lord will comfort you, your father and all who loved your grandma Gertie. I have such fond memories of my own grandmothers and hope that you will be able to celebrate her life while mourning her loss. It is a tough balancing act, but one of life's cycles. Be comforted in knowing that she is in a much, much better place.
My prayers are with you and your family. May God bless, comfort and provide the help you need during this time.
Prayers for you and your family.
May she rest in peace.
Prayers for your family...I'm sure your grandma would want you to keep smiling and enjoy the holidays even though she cannot be with you in body.
