The Religious Cult of Evolution Fights Back

HARRISBURG, PA-The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and attorneys with Pepper Hamilton LLP filed a federal lawsuit today on behalf of 11 parents who say that presenting "intelligent design" in public school science classrooms violates their religious liberty by promoting particular religious beliefs to their children under the guise of science education.

"Teaching students about religion's role in world history and culture is proper, but disguising a particular religious belief as science is not," said ACLU of Pennsylvania Legal Director Witold Walczak. "Intelligent design is a Trojan Horse for bringing religious creationism back into public school science classes."

The Rev. Barry W. Lynn, Americans United Executive Director, added, "Public schools are not Sunday schools, and we must resist any efforts to make them so. There is an evolving attack under way on sound science...Read More

If evolution doesn't cross the bounds of origin of life, why would there be such a debate about teaching ID?

One is science (even if you disagree with it), and one is not. One doesn't belong in any biology/science class.

Isn't the true debate that we were either created intelligently or created mistakenly?

That is an entirely different debate - one which is very important to you, no doubt, BUT MEANINGLESS TO THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION. The TOE doesn't care who started life - G-d, aliens, lightning in the ooze. It cares about what life does from there.

What does post #192 have to do with the charge that the Meyer article was not peer reviewed?

You LOVE evolution like NAMBLA loves little boys.

Congratulations. Probably the most vile thing I've ever read from a Creationist here on FR. You call yourself a Christian?

I notice you didn't respond to the promlem except to admit it is beyond your knowledge. That is actually an improvement over the usual puffery.

But you admit that existence itself is an unsolved problem. Science makes no claims to explain existence. All it claims is that given the nature of existence, it might be possible to explain the origin of the universe. Believe or not, this is a lesser problem.

Problem is that if life is created evolution may be unnecessary and evolutionary biologists would have to work at Burger King.

Actually all Western Civilization realizes he value of the Reformation.

And a large chunk of Western Civilization supports continuing reformation and continuing critical analusis in religious thought.

Can't you do your OWN research? I was just linking intellectual perversion with sexual perversion, in case you didn't get the point. I love aggravating you guys, you seem to love getting aggravated. All pompous in your faux outrage.

There's nothing to research in your little one-liner two seconds to type heckles. I'm just wallowing in one of those deja-vu all over again experiences.

Saying your arguments are pointless and that you have posted lies is not the same as throwing rocks at God. Believe it or not.

A pretty good example of a certain class of self-styled Christian, of which we have more than one here on FR. See, you can lie, cuss, hate, steal, and it doesn't matter, because the Big Guy Upstairs forgives all sins. At this stage I just laugh it off.

Best part is when they then turn around and declare Darwinists are immoral.

Baloney and Salami! Evolution DOES tread the ground theological, by denying teleology to explain impossibilities! That is why your's is the ONLY "so called" scientific discipline that has this fight with believers. Nobody has a problem with physics, or chemistry (actual real science). Science was birthed from Christianity, it belongs to believers, we are just taking it back now.

Sorry we were asleep for 150 years and gave you the false impression that atheists could hijack what belongs to us. Without faith science is blind. It becomes nothing more than a holding pen for those that are enthralled by the lust of debate over process and tedium.

The style is incredibly familiar. Problem is, that person was banned and thus couldn't possibly be posting here now. Besides, the name was different.
