No it is not. It is 18 here. Never mind that this apparently happened in Wisconsin (where the age of consent is *also* 18)...

Bah... I was thinking 18, meant to type 18, and somehow it still ended up as 16. :-p

Must have changed it since I was in high school in CA. At that time, a drivers license qualified as a "learner's permit".

Of course, at that time there was also a dual standard with different ages for males and females; voting age was 21, and a few other differences.

(BTW "CA" is also the medical abreviation for cancer. Coincidence? I think not.)
