Ohio Supreme Court Dismisses Voter Challenge to Presidential Election
Ohio Beacon Journal ^ | January 12, 2005

The Ohio Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed challenges brought by voters seeking to overturn President George W. Bush's victory in the state and the re-election of Chief Justice Thomas Moyer.

The 37 voters asked to drop both cases Tuesday. The high court granted the resquests without comment.

Attorney Cliff Arnebeck represented the voters who wanted the court to examine several Election Day problems such as long lines, shortages of voting machines in predominantly minority neighborhoods and problems with computer equipment.

The 2004 US Presidential election turned on the state of Ohio's 20 electoral college votes, and not until preliminary results were finally made available the morning after the vote did Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry concede.

Arnbeck said Tuesday that he could not expect to win given the US Congressional certification of the votes last week and the upcoming inaguration next week.

In declining last month a motion to remove himself from the case, Ohio State Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas Moyer, a Republican called the voters evidence in the case 'woefully inadequate.'

I live in a white majority area and had to wait in line for an hour and a half.
The main reasons for the wait were, not enough voting officials to take care of they amount people that showed up, and there were a few Hmongs that could not speak any English and there were no interpreters.
For me, the wait was no big deal. I actually feel that voting should be an inconvenience. I think you get a much better voter if they have to jump through a few hoops to cast their vote.
The drive up voter registration to me was one of the worst ideas they have come up with.
I am also still waiting for my cheap gas.

I live in Eugene, Oregon and I still have Bush/Cheney bumpers stickers on my pickup ~ maybe it's all the pro-gun stickers that make them hesitate about doing anything rash. :)

Besides most liberals are all blow and no go. :)

The VRWC is even in control of the Ohio Supreme Court in addition to the USSC. Only 49 more to go.

I have never waited in long lines to vote.

It may be because you need to be 18 to vote.

Arnbeck also withdrew Moss V Moyer.

He does not say why. Nothing to do with Presidential certification.

Maybe because his primary piece of evidence was that people voted split tickets.

In the DUmmie mindset, it is impossible for someone to vote for a republican candidate and a democrat candidate on the same ballot.

Huh? So he was arguing that all split ticket ballots must be awarded to the Dem candidate.

DUmmie logic and legal prowess at its finest.

According to their "logic" that candidates at the top of the ticket must get the same number or more votes than someone of their own party lower on the ticket (never mind the fact that it may be a nonpartisan race so many voters would not know who was the D and who was the R) or else something fishy is going on, then--

Bush should have won OH by at least 64% since Senator Voinovich got that amount. Does this mean that Kerry stole 13%? /sarcasm.

And going by this ludicrous logic, there are a whole bunch of states that either Bush or Kerry "should" have won since their lower-party member candidates got more votes than they did.

Already did my time in hell. But then I studied economics, and embraced conservatism. Switched from a Democrat to a Republican. Been happy ever since.

"The DUmmies have a new "I Believe [Kerry won]" thread, and there's another where they're visualizing counting the votes themselves. On their own."

As God as my witness - that's REALLY funny!!

Gotta love the DUmmies - they keep us entertained.

"You kill 100,000 people to get cheap gas? YOU WILL BURN IN HELL!" LMAO. Actually, according to Shaw's Crisis of Islam, Arab intellectuals are frustrated that for the last 50 years the West has enabled dictators and tyrants in the Middle East, so long as they keep oil production stable. People like YOU have ignored tyranny, rape rooms, and torture chambers in exchange for the luxury of swinging down to Starbucks for a latte in your SUV. Bush is changing that. 50 Million Arabs liberated. 100,000 bathist terrorists killed. And you stand against it all, out of mere partisan hate and envy. If there is indeed a "blood for oil" faustian bargain, look to your own hands.

Actually it was a DUmmy attempting the unwieldly acrobatics of attacking us from the RIGHT.

Rather painful to watch isn't it? Almost like watching a dog trying to eat peanut butter.
