If this woman can be charged with capital murder for intentionally starving her three children to death----why isn't Michael Schiavo being charged with capital murder and George Greer with complicity and being an accomplice????
Yes, but. Under FL law starvation is "legal" if there is hearsay evidence that the person desired starvation to disability status. Never mind GHWB's Americans with Disabilities Act, an apparently toothless paper tiger.
You mean across the board in all matters, and not only in what happened in Terri's case with Michael's hearsay testimony?
You know it is getting more insane by the day. A day or so ago a judge ruled "wrongful death" in a case about a stored embryo. Today I read that a death roll inmate who was retarded may become eligible to die because his IQ rose above 70.
If only they could teach Terri to fire a hand gun on the person who will next disconnect her feeding tube for the last time. She would be on EASY street!
Here's a post about Terri from another forum: http://www.gopinsight.com/2005/02/what-is-quality-of-life-anyway.php
So do we! Let's hear it for Terri's religious freedoms which are being denied.
Prayers for Terri. The forces of evil must be defeated.
That was a short vacation :)
I'll check the link in a bit.thx
That was sad but when I came home, my pc had gone berserk. My XP kept turning itself on and shutting itself off. I had to get out the cds to restore the XP. Yesterday was supposed to be a good time had by all.
I'm going to take it easy the rest of the week but I'll post breaking news if there is any. FV
GOVERNOR BUSH:
1-850-488-4441.
All of this "quality of life" stuff outrages me. One's quality of life is determined by the Almightly, and He should decide if and when such life ends, not tin-star "judges" like George W. Greer and David Baird.
That was my understanding also. Why would the legislature want this bill passed if the courts are already doing it, IE, Terri Schiavo?
Sometimes I think that George W. Greer is running the whole FL government.
I signed the petition. Thanks for posting the link.
Sorry to hear that Bucaneer is no longer with you :(
I just signed the petition.
I didn't sign the petition earlier because Post 451 said you had to be a citizen of Florida, but that is incorrect. It asks you for your state of residency, so obviously, you can be from another state to sign the petition. I certainly consider myself an advocate for the disabled and an interested party to Floridas laws.
"WHEREAS The undersigned petitioners are citizens of the great State of Florida, advocates for the disabled community, advocates of patients retained rights under state and federal statutes and interested parties to Floridas laws as they pertain to the protections of vulnerable, elderly and disabled citizens,..."
Yes, I understand Theodore. Do you really think all the people who voted for GREER follow what he does in the courtroom??? That's the problem with so many judges. People have no idea what they do in court.
You are right. I don't get it.
Greer allowed hearsay to get rid of Terri. The Florida courts have upheld that decision. Why do they need to pass that law since it is already being applied?
