Some principled Christian GOP family... just turn your kids over to a dyke for $50K.

Seriously, when do you think they will start swapping with pedophiles?

I found Paula one day really dreary wintry, springy type of day. She was at the Kentucky Derby. She was making mint juleps. Paula, and her recipe, were excellent. And she looks like she cooks...a white haired mom, and not a size two. Not like the Giannia DeLaurentis (is she the daughter of the film director?) She is the one that gets on my nerves...

I'll do all the watching of degenerate tv for you.

Thanks! I appreciate that it's a rotten job...somebody has to do it. I think it's great of you to step up and take one for the team. Now I can catch up on my reading.

It needs some direction.

It does seem as if the've 'Lost' their original vision for the series.

The only redeeming part of this episode was watching the conservobabe mom zot the two lesbians on tv.

I'll lay odds that she's a closet FReeper...we just have to figure out her screen name.... [g]

I came close to posting this story yesterday, as the straight couple was from Austin. See this post

I wasn't even intending to watch the show, but did after my wife told me the black conservative mother was a good friend of our next door neighbor (same church). I'm surprised the lesbos didn't say she was one of those "off the plantation" people, as Dr. Rice and Colin Powell have been referred to being.

If you watched the show, what you saw is exactly what the straight family is like. I have talked to them at the neighbor's home. She is as sweet as you can ever imagine, and the kids are very well behaved.

As far as being a FReeper, if I see her before my neighbor sells her home and moves (due to health reasons), I'll ask her about that.

I have been trying to tell my wife that for years, God the thought of being forced to watch that crud makes me wanna puke. She tries to get me interested in those shows sometimes, but I get so mad when those people try to get in each others heads and and say what they are thinking and feeling constantly. I just ask her why would you give a shi$ what those people think or do for that matter???

The Gillespie family made a big mistake in consenting to this "swap." ABC made Mrs. Gillespie look like an African-Americam version of the "Betty Bowers" character (a hyper-hypocritical, materialistic Southern Baptist) on the anti-Christian, anti-conservative Web site, www.bettybowers.com.

Needless to say, Mrs. Gillespie fit every liberal cliche about conservatives and evangelical Christians. For example, here is a portion of a review from the Memphis Commercial-Appeal: "...the neatnik is Kris Gillespie, a rich, Republican, Bible-spouting, stay-at-home mom who seems a tad too obsessed with the word 'excellent.' Her counter-mom is a Kristine Luffey, a political liberal and a bit of a slob." "On the plus side, Kristine liberates Kris's kids from the chore-driven gulag of the Gillespie household."

This is the conclusion of a review in the Boston Herald: "Youngest daughter Catherine (Gillespie) comments, 'I think Kristine brought a different kind of light to this house.' It's unfortunate that not even a little of that light could've been seen by her mother."

This show was intended to be an ambush. The media elite may not be judgmental and hostile in some areas, for example, swapping Manhattan penthouse inhabitants with Pennsyltucky trailer park residents. However, when it comes to conservatives, especially evangelical Christians, there is no question that they will come out looking bad. The liberal anti-Christians control the camera angles, the editing, and all other aspects of production.

For all Mrs. Gillespie's hostility to popular culture, the Gillespie family was ambushed by the purveyors of that culture.

Boy!!!looks like if she wanted to, Brigette could pick that little guy up, and toss him over her shoulder, and carry him like a sack of potatoes!

Well, next to her, he does look like a french fry.

Here is part of the article and interview with Kris Gillespie as in the "dead tree" version of the Austin American.

........

"We saw what was done in England," Kris Gilespie said. "It was very new, very out-of-the-box. We thought it was a family show we'd all be able to enjoy. We did it for and adventure, as a family experience."

The Gillespies had an adventure, all right, but it didn't turn out as they hoped.

Kris Gilespie, who describes herself as against gay marriage but not anti-gay, says the program was "edited with an agenda." In fact, the ABC press release describes the Gilespies as "anti-gay" and touts the post-renunion discussion between the two couples as "the most explosive" of the season........

....[Kris] Gilespie didn't know she was going to a lesbian household until she got to Phoenix. Luffey, who "came out" to the Gilespies right away, was equally surprised. Backing out was not an option.

"Once you go on location, they put a $5 million fine on you if you quit," Kris Gilespie said.

The heated finale finds Gilespie still passionately opposed to gay marriage and gay parenting, prompting Luffey to break down in tears. Don't look for hugs and kisses.

It is a shame that this family had to learn what I regard as axiomatic: never, ever trust the MSM and avoid them like the plague.

But seriously, I saw one of the wife swap shows one time, the California animal rights activist and the Louisiana wife-of-the-alligator hunter.

That was probably my favorite episode. The Louisiana family was terrific and I loved that little boy. He really let his temp mom have it.
