you gotta see this.....
stereotypes galore...except the GOP family is a well structured interracial marriage, kids well behaved, house is beautiful
liberal lesbian house is a pigsty, daughter's room is a mess, no rules for the liberal daughter
Some principled Christian GOP family... just turn your kids over to a dyke for $50K.
Seriously, when do you think they will start swapping with pedophiles?
I found Paula one day really dreary wintry, springy type of day. She was at the Kentucky Derby. She was making mint juleps. Paula, and her recipe, were excellent. And she looks like she cooks...a white haired mom, and not a size two. Not like the Giannia DeLaurentis (is she the daughter of the film director?) She is the one that gets on my nerves...
Thanks! I appreciate that it's a rotten job...somebody has to do it. I think it's great of you to step up and take one for the team. Now I can catch up on my reading.
It does seem as if the've 'Lost' their original vision for the series.
I have better things to watch than this mindless trash......
I'm watching American Idol
;)
You couldn't pay me to watch this show or most any show on the major networks!
....thanks...but no thanks...:)
...wow...poster children for Meth???
bump
I'll lay odds that she's a closet FReeper...we just have to figure out her screen name.... [g]
I came close to posting this story yesterday, as the straight couple was from Austin. See this post
I wasn't even intending to watch the show, but did after my wife told me the black conservative mother was a good friend of our next door neighbor (same church). I'm surprised the lesbos didn't say she was one of those "off the plantation" people, as Dr. Rice and Colin Powell have been referred to being.
If you watched the show, what you saw is exactly what the straight family is like. I have talked to them at the neighbor's home. She is as sweet as you can ever imagine, and the kids are very well behaved.
As far as being a FReeper, if I see her before my neighbor sells her home and moves (due to health reasons), I'll ask her about that.
Needless to say, Mrs. Gillespie fit every liberal cliche about conservatives and evangelical Christians. For example, here is a portion of a review from the Memphis Commercial-Appeal: "...the neatnik is Kris Gillespie, a rich, Republican, Bible-spouting, stay-at-home mom who seems a tad too obsessed with the word 'excellent.' Her counter-mom is a Kristine Luffey, a political liberal and a bit of a slob." "On the plus side, Kristine liberates Kris's kids from the chore-driven gulag of the Gillespie household."
This is the conclusion of a review in the Boston Herald: "Youngest daughter Catherine (Gillespie) comments, 'I think Kristine brought a different kind of light to this house.' It's unfortunate that not even a little of that light could've been seen by her mother."
This show was intended to be an ambush. The media elite may not be judgmental and hostile in some areas, for example, swapping Manhattan penthouse inhabitants with Pennsyltucky trailer park residents. However, when it comes to conservatives, especially evangelical Christians, there is no question that they will come out looking bad. The liberal anti-Christians control the camera angles, the editing, and all other aspects of production.
For all Mrs. Gillespie's hostility to popular culture, the Gillespie family was ambushed by the purveyors of that culture.
Well, next to her, he does look like a french fry.
Here is part of the article and interview with Kris Gillespie as in the "dead tree" version of the Austin American.
It is a shame that this family had to learn what I regard as axiomatic: never, ever trust the MSM and avoid them like the plague.
That was probably my favorite episode. The Louisiana family was terrific and I loved that little boy. He really let his temp mom have it.
i nearly croaked when the California mom showed the chicken-rights video.....
notice how the Louisiana people were all so dignified and polite whereas the California people were hounding the La. wife.....
That was very true but the majority of we Californians is nothing like those rude barbie dolls:)
I miss the understated, dignified approach of the Jerry Springer show.
This is that Kris Gillespie biz...

Why am I not surprised her business is the business of "excellence."
She's one sick Type-A individual. I feel sorry fof her kids.
