The literary champ was sitting in his command post kitchen chair, a piece of blank paper in his favorite typewriter, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot through the mouth hours earlier.

Did he perceive sending a bullet crashing though his brain in the kitchen would cause a mess that someone would have to clean? Could he not perceive the amount of turmoil that would cause his family?

But when I preview it, the pic is very large, much more so then the link I am taking it from. My last photo post did the same thing.

Ugh. I can't believe I read the whole article. It's so disturbingly flaky--weirdness doesn't even begin to describe it. What is left unsaid is even more disturbing...this was one sick household.

I wrote him a letter once, about eight or nine years ago, asking him why he hadn't written, "Fear and Loathing Inside the Clinton Administration." Apparantly, his perceptiveness was capable of detecting only Republican corruption.
