Incredibly enough, I was AGREEING with you and your low opinion of Muslims. Liberals like to claim that "prejudice is ignorance" but you lived amongst the Muslims and saw first-hand what they were like and it wasn't pretty. That's what I meant by "familiarity breeds contempt." I've read and heard similar opinions from other "infidels" who lived in close contact with Muslims. Stereotypes are generally accurate -- that's how they got to be stereotypes in the first place.
You misunderstood what I wrote.
My apologies.
There are so many on this forum who say I'm a bigot, but they can never refute my accusations about Islam.
There are several of us on here who have lived in the MidEast, and I haven't found one yet who differed from my opinion.
You are correct that "familiarity breeds contempt".
As I have tried to explain so many times, I don't care if someone believes in a pile of dog poop as long as that pile of dog poop doesn't tell them to kill me if I don't believe in it, too.
When they start telling me that I have to believe as they believe under the threat of death, we've got a problem. Then it behooves me to tell them that they have to change their beliefs, or I will take steps to kill them before they can kill me.
I've been accused of urging a pre-emptive strike against all the Muslims in the world, and that's simply not true. I believe in live and let live, but the "let live" includes me and all my Christian and Jewish brothers and sisters.
We didn't establish the parameters of this war. They were set for us a long time before 9-11.
Thank you for your clarification.
