Good post, soul seeker. I feel pretty sure that Laura, Rush, Mark Levin and probably Hannity would all get behind this 100 percent.

And you're right that the people to aim this at are the Republican Senators and people in power who think they can slide this one under the table and get away with it. Let them know that is NOT going to happen.

I would assume that since this is Jim's idea on his website, there'll be a banner ad for it on every page once it's announced.

I know that'w what I'd do.

Jim, Calpernia linked your thread to Democrats on Senate Panel Pummel Judicial Nominee

My answer to the title of your thread was "How about April 15? It could be four birds with one stone. Thanks for the link."

Adios

Good point! They pay more attention to INTERNATIONAL LAW than they do to the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - which they are supposed to INTERPRET - NOT REWRITE.

Citing any international law over the Constitution of the United States is treason. Can we not recall and/or impeach the offending judges?

A march on the SCOTUS would be ineffective although it might get some TV time. A march on Congress would at least get their attention.

Yes I will use judicial nomination ping list by pinging to updates on this march and I'll add you to the judicial nomination ping list.

[Ping or FReepmail me to be added to the judicial nomination ping list, which list will also be used to ping people about updates on the possible march.]

Thanks Bill! Glad you had that list.

Doctor Raoul is probably right about Jim using banners; but a ping list is also needed for info updates.

The problem is, SCOTUS is basically immune to public opinion. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing. We can protest at SCOTUS until we are blue in the face - but I doubt Sandra Day O'Connor would care.
Now, if governors told SCOTUS that their ruling was illegitimate and carried no influence on their state perogatives, now THAT would get the attention of SCOTUS.

Unfortunately, you are correct, when protestors come to DC, the congress and Scotus and Administration usually say "ho-hum" How many did they have? well the numbers are wrong anyway. Just send in the garbage men. Having lived there for 15 years and seeing many protests, and participating in several for Freerepublic and other Christian and Republican marches. Those that you are trying to influence, don't watch, or care. They just want the Mall cleaned up when the rif-raff is gone. If we were to do something like they did in the UKraine (sp) and Lebanannon, such as stay, camp out, stay, and camp out on the mall, we would get some attention from the SCOTUS, Congress and the Executive Branch. This is the only way to get their attention. A one day march on the Mall, will be waved away as more rif-raff, send in the garbage men to clean up their mess by morning. Permits would need to be gotten, if available, many folks would have to participate to make a difference, but staying and waving a special color flag would make it memorable.

I do like your idea about the Govenors of the States saying the SCOTUS Ruling is unconstitutional would be fantastic. Because it is, unconstitutional, several justices used International Law and unsigned treaties to try to justify their case, which is UNCONSTITUTIONAL IN THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT! JUDGES ARE ONLY TO CONSIDER THE AMERICAN CONSTITUTION IN DETERMINING THEIR CASES, NOT LOOK TO GOOF-BALL INTERNATIONAL LAW, THAT IS IN ITSELF UNCONSTITUTIONAL.! THEREFORE, THIS CASE IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED NULL AND VOID!

Well, I think what's needed IS A SHOW! But in a very constructive sense.

What's needed is a sense of Congress, a resolution, declaring that the Justices should take a day to read The Constitution of the United States. They will conduct no other business save for reading the document, beginning to end, and studying it as if they'd not seen it, previously (because some give just that sense). And it should not simply be sent over by messenger, or the like. There should be a public ceremony. The leader of the House and Senate, together, should walk up the steps of the Supreme Court, cameras rolling, dignitaries lining the route, resolution in hand, and then hand it personally to one of the Justices - I wonder if Justice Thomas would not also consider it a good thing and appear for that purpose (I don't know)? Speeches could be made. It would be a ceremony of state, and for the purpose of reminding the Court, notably its liberal members, that Our Founders did in fact go through the trouble of crafting The Constitution, which has served this nation well for over two centuries, making this the longest lasting republican government, perhaps in world history (I don't know). I think it needs to be done.
