I'm pretty ashamed that I wasn't able to get in on this, but I wanted to make sure that those of you who did came over to get your thanks and see the results.

I've worked with the developmentally disabled for sixteen years. Occasionally I would have had a client who was also physically disabled. I can't tell you how many times, while I was pulling a disabled person out of the back seat of my car, I wished for a similar device as that 'turny chair.' It would have saved me a load of wear and tear on my back.

Now if that chair can carry a disabled person to the bathroom and gentle drop them on the toilet you have a gift from the angels.

Is the "Freepmobile" in the picture a Pinzgauer?

I remember the old Road and Track test drive back in the 60s or 70s.  They said it had something like 6 reverse gears and 12 forward and if you had the guts it would climb a tree!

Seems like the appropriate vehicle for FReepers.
