I kind of hope that the bullets do match. It is not beyond the realm of possibity that a smart terrorist would see this as an opportunity to cover up such a crime. Possession of a Custom agent's ID could be quite convenient for some persons. Admittedly, this is a very slim possibility.

What is in Lennox Square?

Lenox is a large upscale mall (the largest single mall in the Southeast), anchored by Macy's, Nieman Marcus, and Bloomingdale's.

Channel 2 news just reported a customs agent was found dead in Atlanta this morning.

Got it. Badge is missing.

The truck was found on Lenox Road in Atlanta. This would be near Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza Mall in Buckhead. The two together are the largest shopping center area in the Southeast. The area is also near an entrance to GA 400, a toll highway running northward to I-285, and southward to I-85.

Blue 1994 Chevrolet Pickup Truck is being sought; GA tag APG 6121

Why would he ask for directions to a mall?

I think it is best to assume these cases are related, making this very desperate man, well armed, well vehicled and with law enforcement weaponry and id.

How far is the location where the cutoms agent was found from the courthouse?

Did you hear the reporting on CNN?

Very strange. Anchor said THREE times that the AP is reporting one thing but that CNN can't confirm it. So now we have CNN won't report what the AP says unless they can independently confirm it???????????

I don't think this was connected to the court house. This was most likely planned in advance, not spur-of-the-moment.

The uniform, badge, and gun of a custom's agent. Sounds like an attempt to infiltrate. But if the infiltration wasn't attempted before this was known, it wouldn't work. I would speculate that someone passed himself off as a customs agent prior to this morning, and it would appear he got away with it so far. Mob related perhaps, or terrorist. But the mob has so many union ties, why bother with this? Terrorist?

How long ago did the agent die? I'm betting it was yesterday, while the Honda had an APB...you know, the one that was sitting in the garage the whole time?

Yep, *law enforcements* looking very inadequate over the green Honda fiasco, it will be interesting to find out just *when* & what happened with this Custom agent.

Lenox Square is a large mall in North Atlanta. There is a MARTA train station there. Lenox Road runs from the mall to I-85.

Coincidentally, it is the road that Dany Heatley wrecked his car on. Heatley is the hockey player that the late judge sentenced a few months ago.

People had better be a little more alert until he's caught.

People had better be armed.

Police: Customs agent killed as manhunt continues

BILL POOVEY

Associated Press

ATLANTA - Police searching for a man suspected of a courthouse triple-slaying on Friday say a U.S. customs agent was discovered shot and killed in north Atlanta on Saturday morning.

Fulton County Police deputy Chief G.D. Miles said customs agents found one of their colleagues shot to death at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning near Lennox Road in north Atlanta.

The discovery comes as a massive manhunt continues for Brian Nichols, 33, who is suspected of shooting and killing the judge in his rape case and two others on Friday.

Stiles said the agent's blue pickup truck, semi-automatic pistol, badge and possibly his identification were stolen.

The incident occurred in the same general area where Nichols used to live.

"We dont' know if this is the same suspect," Stiles said. "Whoever is driving this pickup truck is a cop killer."

The pickup bears the Georgia tag number APG 6121, Miles said.
