Instead we get a lock down and ineptness.

That is a good point, although I see a car being able to pull up with the AK at the ready.. spray a volley into the car and have the driver hit the gas almost at the same time, the car could be around the corner before the cop could even realize what just happened, let alone draw. Remember, the cop is in a sitting position, I am not sure if that maybe makes it a bit slower to draw one's weapon. (I gather that he was still sitting in his car running the plate)

Agreed, I have to laugh each time I watch 'COPS' and the officers draw their sidearms and threaten the perps. The PERPS know the officers will NEVER shoot them, so they just start to run. Hilarious!

Not to mention a non description of the vehicle, no mention of license tags. And if this was a block from the school, why the lock down?
