Sean Hannity says there is a 1 percent chance for Terri now: I don't think it's even that high.

we did not get to this mess in one day and we will not get out of this mess in one day.

It will take more than saving or not saving Terri in order to change the institutionalized travesty of the black robes.

It will take more than just appointing non DOJ hacks to the judiciary.

It will take more than just purging the communists and leftists from the halls of accadamia.

It will take more than just purging the socialists and anti american law professors.

It will take more than just clossing down some of these law schools.

It will take more than just disenfranchising the ABA from all judicial and legislative processcess.

It will take ALL of the above.

We will have to fight the left inch by inch and battle by battle untile they are extinct.

10 years ago we would not have even had the chance to be upset. We have to keep in mind where we were and where we are going.

I agree with what you wrote, but I think that is just the beginning. For instance, because we now see that "local judges are the law," we need to have a comprehensive database of every judge in America so we will have real solid data to give to voters and help them vote out the bad ones before they are able to move up and gain more power. Also, I think we need major radical surgery on the legal system from top to bottom. But I'm not sure that the other branches of our government have the will or power anymore to do that.

Many well educated people, especially lawyers, are smart in many respects, but in other ways, many have no sense.

This is not the first time that George W. Greer has lashed out at Jeb Bush. He did so in August 2003 too. Jeb never replied directly.

There's a judge on Hannity right now who is saying both the President and the Governor have the law in their FAVOR to take control of this....!!!!

Judges are hard to knock off the bench but I think Greer better realize that if it can be done, he will be gone

Hannity shouldn't say this. If Jeb Bush thinks that people are giving up hope that he will act, he's even less likely to act. We have to keep the pressure on.

Good timing! I was just about to post an excerpt from history:

1774 - September 5 to October 26, the First Continental Congress meets in Philadelphia with 56 delegates, representing every colony, except Georgia. Attendants include Patrick Henry, George Washington, Sam Adams and John Hancock.

On September 17, the Congress declares its opposition to the Coercive Acts, saying they are "not to be obeyed," and also promotes the formation of local militia units.

On October 14, a Declaration and Resolves is adopted that opposes the Coercive Acts, the Quebec Act, and other measure taken by the British that undermine self-rule. The rights of the colonists are asserted, including the rights to "life, liberty and property."

On October 20, the Congress adopts the Continental Association in which delegates agree to a boycott of English imports, effect an embargo of exports to Britain, and discontinue the slave trade.

"U.S. District Judge James Whittemore (search) of Tampa would preside over the hearing, attorneys said. Whittemore on Tuesday denied the Schindlers' request to have the tube reinserted, saying they had not established a "substantial likelihood of success" at trial on the merits of their arguments. "

Just my take---this country is outraged that this is happening to Terri especially in light of the allegations of abuse by Michael. Maybe this judge is seeing this as a "stepping stone" to something else for himself down the line, and now could be the hero who at least grants a de novo hearing of the new evidence...I am just thinking this because this judge seems to want to hear the case now.

I don't think Greer necessarily even plans to seek reelection in 2010.

Update, this just in:

Mar 23, 2005 4:30 pm US/Central Winona, Minn. (AP) The animal rights group People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals is urging a Winona County assistant district attorney to vigorously prosecute an unnamed Winona-area resident. The plea stems from the Winona County Sheriff's Department's discovery last month of 13 severely neglected and parasite-ridden dogs housed near Homer in Winona County. One of the dogs died shortly after being rescued. The animals had reportedly been kept confined to wooden boxes. So far, no criminal charges have been filed. PETA is asking that the suspect, if convicted, spend jail time and prohibited from owning or harboring animals.

You might be on to something. Why would he want to have the case in his court again if he's just planning to rule the same way? Particularly if the rumor is true that he initiated the latest appeal.

Does anyone remember a tv movie called "In Broad Daylight"?

It was the true story of a small town bully and how the police refused to do anything about him....

there are certain aspects that remind me of that.. a similar outcome wouldn't be a tragedy.. that's all I'm gonna say about that..
