Hillary Allies Commandeering Key Party Posts

Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton continues to deny that she is interested in a bid for the White House in 2008. But if you look around at changes taking place within her party, you might not believe her.

The Washington Post reports that Friends of Hillary are cropping up in key posts at the Democratic National Committee and other DNC-friendly organizations.

For instance, the paper reported, Harold Ickes -- longtime Democratic operative and friend -- has taken the helm at America Coming Together, an influential labor organization.

Also, Howard Wolfson, another friend, is "taking on a contract to shape strategy at the state Democratic Party in New York," the paper reported.

And Howard Dean, head of the DNC, has replaced Jano Cabrera as communications director with Karen Finney, who served as deputy press secretary in the first lady's office during the Clinton years. Finney also served as Hillary's spokeswoman during the former's successful Senate bid in 2000.

Finally, Mike Gehrke is replacing the DNC's research director, Jason Miner. Gehrke once worked in the Clinton White House. He then lent his research skills to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee later on.

Too bad she is not co-president and can't order mass firings all at one time. This must annoy her, hence it is a GOOD THING.

She has been campaigning to get back into the WH since her 'husband' left.

Nobody trusts or likes any of those flying monkeys other than Hillary. What this also proves to me is that Hillary is uncapable of recruiting new talent to her army. She had such a pinache for throwing all the lower level staffers under the bus during the 90's, she's left with an ever dwindling pool of proven thugs, idiots, and toadies. When I found out she dusted off Anne Lewis(AKA Sissy Fwank) as her communications director, I laughed.

Now this is closer to reality. Lying is an essential ingredient to "feeding her uselful idiots". The very arrogance that allows these totally unqualified fools like the Marxist Medusa to think she should be in the White House is why they should never be near it....

These guys are scary:

Harold Ickes:

Working with Shadow Party architect George Soros, Ickes personally helped launch six of the Seven Sister groups that form its core, including America Coming Together (ACT), America Votes, The Center for American Progress (CAP), Joint Victory Campaign 2004 (JVC), The Media Fund and The Thunder Road Group (TRG).

Ickes led Hillary Clinton's successful Senate run in 2000. Prior to that, he served in the Clinton White House from January 1994 to January 1997 as Deputy Chief of Staff. Because so many of his duties involved damage control during Clinton scandals, Ickes wryly referred to his role as "Director of Sanitation."

"Whenever there was something that [Bill Clinton] thought required ruthlessness or vengeance or sharp elbows and sharp knees or, frankly, skulduggery, he would give it to Harold," former Clinton advisor Dick Morris told Vanity Fair in 1997. (Judy Bachrach, "Seduced and Abandoned," Vanity Fair, September 1997)

Master of Intrigue

If Ickes evinces skill in "skulduggery," it comes from long experience working in the dim-lit underworld where politics meets labor racketeering and organized crime.

Recruited by New Left icon Allard Lowenstein in 1964, Ickes turned up on every major battlefront of leftwing activism during the Sixties and early Seventies. [snip]
Ickes subsequently began practicing labor law, representing numerous corrupt unions controlled by the Gambino, Colombo, Genovese, Lucchese and other organized crime families. His work on behalf of gangsters and labor racketeers brought him perilously close to prosecution, but Ickes displayed a Houdini-like gift for evading the authorities. "There are more than a couple of prosecutors in this city who believe that the only thing separating Harold Ickes and a jail cell is his ability to go strong and silent in the face of tough questions," noted New York Post columnist Mike McAlary in 1993. (Todd S. Purdum, "A Political Whodunit: Suspects Abound in the Downfall of Harold M. Ickes," The New York Times, 14 February 1993, p. 41)

Bill and Hillary Clinton found many uses for Ickes' peculiar talents. By the mid-1990s, he was heading their fundraising machine, collecting record-breaking quantities of soft money - much of it through such unsavory means as labor racketeering; soliciting pay-offs from U.S. businessmen seeking inside access to overseas trade missions; and - as Edward Timperlake and William C. Triplett II document in their book Year of the Rat: How Bill Clinton and Al Gore Compromised U.S. Security for Chinese Cash - cutting deals with Chinese intelligence agents eager to loosen up U.S. export controls on military technology. (Edward Timperlake and William C. Triplett II, Year of the Rat: How Bill Clinton and Al Gore Compromised U.S. Security for Chinese Cash [Washington, DC; Regnery Publishing; 2000] )

By 1996, federal investigators had begun zeroing in on Ickes' involvement in numerous Clinton scandals including Filegate (the illegal commandeering of more than a thousand secret FBI background files on potential Clinton foes) and Chinagate (the selling of military secrets to Red China in exchange for campaign contributions).

Ickes had become a liability. Immediately after Bill Clinton's re-election in November 1996, the President fired him.

The firing was only temporary, however. In 1999, Ickes became Hillary's chief campaign advisor in her 2000 run for the Senate. Following Hillary's successful election, Ickes played a central role in creating the Democrat Shadow Party.

I dunno... I'm not a grate brane or anything, but I kind of like knowing this. Anybody who is a Hitlery supporter, who was solidly in her camp in the past, is distrusted by most of the electorate. We all know she is planning to run. By filling the DNP with her toadies, she is ensuring its demise. Run, Hillary! Run!!

"She has been campaigning to get back into the WH since her 'husband' left."

- Strategically, the most effective way for Republicans to counter the Hitlery stealth campaign is to start right now by treating her candidacy as a fait accompli. By constantly talking of her on talk shows, speeches and interviews as the certain Democratic candidate in '08, they will rob the Democratic Primaries of the suspense that these elections are supposed to generate in terms of publicity and bandwagon hype.
The public must be conditioned to think of her selection as a forgone conclusion, thus stripping her of the "momentum" factor that her handlers rely on to generate a buzz around her selection.

True. AND, they had better have a rock solid plan...Not that stuff Kerry spouted every time he opened his mouth. Kerry thought that if he would forgo being specific and not permit himself to be put down to specific plans, he could be all things to all people. He was nothing to no one. And the meter was running... the terrorists and our efforts in the war on terror still will be a major factor...The Liberals better get hip. The war ain't over by a long shot.

The amusing part is that Hillary still won't say she's running.

Let's not overreact. She doesn't have that many friends. ;')

"Harold Ickes -- longtime Democratic operative and friend -- has taken the helm at America Coming Together, an influential labor organization."

By "labor organization" the article means "rich puppetmaster exploitation experts."
