Theresa Marie Schindler... May Daily Thread 2005 CALL TO ACTION: Our Fight for Justice Continues
Various Sources ^ | April 3, 2005 | floriduh voter

Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.

I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.

There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.

The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.

I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.

Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.

I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.

I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.

PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.

Thanks, FV

Wherever he goes, wherever he hides, he will feel the massive outrage and disgust we feel regarding his heinous and satanic effort to rid himself of the 'bitch', as he was known to refer to Terri.

I hope he suffers every single day of his miserable life for what he has done. How he could call that sweet woman a B**ch is beyond me. I want a blow by blow report of his life from the media, just like they gave us of Terri. It won't happen, but that's what I want.

Talk about the long arm of coincidence. On 60 Minutes
there was a segment about a FLORIDA case where a month
murdered her little daughter. DCF had taken the child
away because of abuse but a judge (I don't know who) returned the girl to the mother 7 days before the child died.

The new show Revelations - a segment took place in FLORIDA
Miami area and how a little girl who was struck by lightening was in a "coma". All the doctors said she was
brain dead and they wanted to harvest her organs.

Strange the similarity!

DeLay Requests Congressional Review of Schiavo Case

U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told reporters Wednesday that he was sorry for the emotional statement denouncing judges that he had made the day that Florida’s Terri Schindler Schiavo, 41, died of court-ordered starvation but said that he has requested a congressional review of the Schiavo case.

Woodside Hospice Billed Over $100,000 For Police Presence

FLORIDA--The City of Pinellas Park has billed the Woodside Hospice some $98,000 for police protection plus another $15,000 in overtime costs for patrols at the hospice during the two week period after the feeding tube was removed from Terri Schindler-Schiavo on March 18 by order of Pinellas County probate court judge George W. Greer, informed sources have told The Empire Journal.

Florida Voters Baste Media Over Handling of Schiavo Case

Florida voters disapprove of the way President George W. Bush, Gov. Jeb Bush, the Florida Legislature, the U.S. Congress, state and federal courts and the media handled the Terri Schiavo case, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

Considering that the Suncoast of Florida Hospice (of which Woodside is but one small part) had $81,000,000 in revenues and $9,000,000 in profit in 2003 (latest available), the $100,000 is just pocket change for them.

Is there any evidence that there is any impact on potential "patients" revenue stream, or are most local retired people down there totally oblivious to the truth of the recent events?

This is such crap, I'm so sick of polls. I'd rather we just start doing votes for everyone to be involved in. If the Politicians are never going to go with gut instinct on issues rather than the darn polls, than we might as well get the whole truth for them to see. Sorry, but IMO I believe most Americans are shocked over what happend with terri Schiavo. I have to many liberal friends who thought she was killed as well. And they all think what Congress did to save her as well as the Bush's was good.

The fate of Terri Schindler-Schiavo was ironically decided over a meal of fried chicken and salad in a Tallahassee restaurant

Sick.

Sick, too, that the FL ACLU gave a banquet and an award to Gerald Kogan, the former chief justice of the Florida State Supreme Court, based partly on Kogan's support of euthanasia.

1999 Nelson Poynter Banquet a Moving Tribute

Lida Rodriguez-Taseff, Secretary of the ACLU of Florida and an attorney at Akerman Senterfitt, delivered a moving tribute to Nelson Poynter Award recipient Justice Kogan. She applauded his tremendous courage and empathy in his powerful dissent in the McIver v. Krischer right-to-die case as well as his public stance against the death penalty, which she said should serve as a model for attorneys and civil libertarians everywhere.

In his acceptance speech, Justice Kogan praised the work of the ACLU and stressed the obligation attorneys and others have in upholding the principles of the Bill of Rights.

Jeb Bush will never recover from the killing of Terri.

I don't think he is beyond redemption.

Senator Charles Schumer of New York said that J. Leon Holmes was disqualified as a candidate for a federal judge appointment because of his "deeply held conservative religious views."

Ironies abound on the Leftist side of the aisle.

"Poor-choice" Schumer publicly strives to defend the right of a woman to take her place on a table in an abortion clinic.

Yet Schumer won't publicly strive for the right of a woman to take her place at a table in the lodge of his all-male secret society.

None of us are beyond redemption so long as we are still alive, I hope, but he is a long ways away. He could have acted, time and again, but chose a different higher power than his own Catholic faith.

I'm not going to judge him. Though I will be watching his future behavior.

The problem is as I stated before...Jeb is what Jeb is, the same for his brother. The Bushes behaved exactly as one who knew and understood them would have expected. They worked "within the law" (by their definition) to save Terri.

Failure, though, was indeed an option.

If the courts said Terri must die, then the Bushes believed they had no choice but to drop it. They were raised in their home and educated that way. They really believe it.

My problem is, Hitler's Germany dotted all the legal i's as well, as they committed atrocity after atrocity. We look back on it now and say how could the people have obediently let it happen???

Well, the Bushes are true American innocents, if they believe the American System is so good and great that it is not subject to the same flaw of simply "obeying lawful orders".

This is where I part company with them.

I don't despise or attack them, however. They do not yet understand that rule by judges is a horrible, horrible threat that only the other two branches can save us from.

Or else, one day, the people will be forced to rise up against their dictators.

100K for police protection. That makes me wonder how much it cost Pinellas Park in 2003. They hyped it up this time and I think it was to PLAY TO THE MEDIA.

What did they actually do? A couple of arrests for real trespass, most arrests for taking two steps across the sidewalk, arresting children, telling people they cannot talk, cannot walk, cannot stand in one place, being beligerent, not answering questions, when I felt threatened by a madman, they said "it was free speech", just like I have, The PP Police Dept. were accomplices of Judge Greer and Hospice. It won't happen but they SHOULD BILL GEORGE GREER AND HOSPICE.

And, the good news per Hospice Woodside is that the new plants SURVIVED!!!! They murdered Terri in cold blood but the plants made it through two grueling weeks for them.

IMO, I think Jeb is already being hounded by his conscience. Every time he makes a statement, he sounds frustrated and defensive. Terri was murdered on his watch and he has to face that every single day for the rest of his life. Terri's barbaric, protracted, ILLEGAL death is Jeb's legacy. I can't remember what else he's done for Florida since Judge Greer, Judge Baird and Senator Jim King pulled this off and Jeb DID NOTHING TO STOP.

If this is the new medicaid plan, I say, back to the drawing board.

Jebbie took a beating in a Quinnipac poll. Either 69 or 79% WOULD NOT vote for im for President. Poor Jebbie said that he didn't care about polls. (maybe not but that's a seriuos disapproval rating). <P. JEB BUSH MADE THE MISTAKE OF HIS LIFE BY NOT RESCUING TERRI. I fax him once a week to remind him of same.

That is how Jeb played the part of Pontius Pilate so perfectly, having all the options spread before him, even shoved into his face, wincing, and washing his hands.

Because he can offer no excuse for not knowing or having the options, he has bought a legacy.

Now he can keep washing his hands the rest of his life, and he can pray for forgiveness, but the legacy remains.

In my opinion, they should have done more. However, I'm not about to give up on them.

Even leaders make mistakes. Sometimes they learn from them, sometimes they don't.

I've expressed my humble opinion to them via phone calls, emails, etc, as have thousands of other people.

I will continue to pray, to express my opinion, to diss the "kill-Terri" ACLU-Felos team, and to financially support anti-euthanasia efforts, as I await further developments.
