Baines was angry because Oliver told her daughter to quit loitering by lockers and go to class That's right, teach the your daughter not to respect authority, not to follow rules, do anything she wants and no one can question her. If you don't get your way, resort to violence.
Yeah, go ahead, teach her that today. You'll pay the price some day. Bet on that.

Used to be you wouldn't tell your mother you were reprimanded for loitering around while class was going on. If you did your mother would wonder why the hell you weren't in class and probably lecture you for an hour.
Now you got mothers beating the hell out of the teacher who tried to set you straight. Is this Bizzaro world?

That teacher Oliver -- the one with the concussion, broken ribs and facial bruises probably has more reason to fear for her job. She was trying to get the kids to follow the rules. The Union may consider that an actionable offense.

Sounds like a case of "My Mom is a teacher in this school so you can't tell me what to to do" gone wrong. Too bad the Mom went on to prove that her daughter truly did feel that the rules didn't apply to her.

I wonder what role the guidance counselor played?

she teaches guerilla tactics. . . . and the doctrine of preemption.
To: KidGlock
What a fine example to set for the students.

I want you to know I didn't raise a finger. I didn't raise my voice. I didn't do anything to aggravate the situation," Oliver said. "I did everything possible to defuse the situation.""
Wow, another teacher physically attacks her, get put on PAID administrative leave and this is Oliver's response. Sounds like she's trying to defend herself as if she was the one who had done something wrong!! Why is this teacher on PAID leave. Physically attacking co-workers is generally considered grounds to be immediately dismissed. And she can take her little brat with her.
