DRUDGE REPORT: Clinton: Pope 'May Have Mixed Legacy'
Drudge Report ^ | WED APRIL 06, 2005 | Matt Drudge

En route to Rome, Clinton told reporters the pope “centralized authority in the papacy again and enforced a very conservative theological doctrine. There will be debates about that. The number of Catholics increased by 250 million on his watch. But the numbers of priests didn't. He's like all of us - he may have a mixed legacy.”

Clinton was also asked about his first flight aboard Air Force One since the end of his presidency: “I never thought I'd be on this plane again - I had a good time. They have turkey burgers too, which they didn't have when I was here. If they'd been serving me turkey burgers, I might not have heart surgery.”

I think Clinton would settle for a "mixed" legacy.

Clinton should thank God he's not in prison being sodomized right now. That's his legacy: the one that got away.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Lauralee, but have you seen these?

How about some dance music at mass instead of those dreary organs?

Dance?

Music?

You got it!

Can Britney Spears and Madonna be Priests?

Well, she's not exactly Britney or Madonna, but she is saying mass!

Let's ask the UN what they think.

How 'bout if we at least check in with Uncle Fidel:

Or our old pal Yasser:

The photos are all real. The liturgical dancer, headbangin' guitar priest, and hotty "priestess" are all from actual "Catholic" masses. So, Lauralee, be careful what you wish for...even sarcastically.

"Clinton should thank God he's not in prison being sodomized right now. That's his legacy: the one that got away."

Do you think Bush would pardon him?

Bill's legacy in 20 years...will be a joke. He won't be like Calvin Coolidge...but almost. I doubt that anyone will remember Gore in 20 years...and the oval office affair...will be one of the top 3 things they remember on Bill.

Clinton is pretty much already considered a laughing-stock by well over half the country. His legacy is one of sex, corruption, and a charming rogue.

"Clinton is legacy-obsessed.

For men like John Paul II, a legacy just happens."

Exactly. Men obsessed with leaving a legacy leave nothing worth remembering.

Men obsessed with doing the right thing are the ones who leave legacies........and it's too late for Bill.

turkey burgers

Turkey Burghers, Yumm. (Seriously, there's a Fast Food Burgher chain in North Texas and southern Oklahoma that has wonderful turkey burgers. I get one or more almost every time I go up there, which I did last weekend. Waited on my supper until I got up there, about 22:00, took them to the house and put them on low carb bread, good.

It's hard to say. President Bush doesn't issue a lot of pardons (I think there were only about 30 in his first term). On the other hand, President's have always pardoned each other in the past. I think it's worth noting that President Bush hasn't shown the least bit of malice towards President Clinton - quite the opposite. If I had to guess I'd say that President Bush would pardon him.

Right, Willy, the Pope was a lot like you! Sure!

My thoughts exactly. Disgusting clap trap from the former first philanderer. Disgusting.
