Intel is investigating. Eric Margolis, terror analyst said maybe a plane with an improperly filed flight plan. Intel sources, however, say may be a bomb. Two Italian F-16 fighter jets were in pursuit and escorting the plane to an airport outside of Rome.

Fox reporting plane was intercepted by F-16s. Plane was an executive business-type jet originating in the Balkans.

Being escorted to land? Willingly? Can't be too dangerous. Terrorists would have blown themselves up.

Ready, aim ... anti-aircraft missiles, part of the Italian defence system, are displayed near Rome for the funeral of
the Pope. Italian authorities readied anti-aircraft rocket launchers and took other security measures to protect the
dignitaries converging on Rome for the funeral. Photo: AP
