He has a morning drive time show. His broadcast in Dallas is on KSKY AM, from 6 to 8 AM.

Back in the early 90's Leykis was a liberal radio talk show host. One of the first and only exclusively liberal AM shows. Last time I listened to Leykis he was doing some perverted radio talk show.

"Dr." Savage is the worst one on there next to that scum bag, Stern.

I'm just curious as to how you know for sure that Savage doesn't care about the issue he's discussing. Is there any evidence to this effect? Seeing that most conservative listeners are pro-Bush, Savage's recent questioning of Bush on a number of issues could actually hurt is ratings, unless you think he's trying to draw anti-Bush centerists from the Dems. It seems to me that Savage has risked his ratings considerably in speaking his mind. And how come he was one of the first to emphasize the illegal alien issue? When he was warning of the dangers to the economy presented by millions of illegals, Hannity and Rush were busy promoting the 2004 election. Now that the minutemen are making headlines, now all of a sudden the other talk-show hosts are following suit. One could claim they're the ones trying to get noticed and care about ratings.

I would have thought that Laura Ingraham would be higher.

Me too. She's on the rise. Will only get better.

24. Dr. Dean Edell (Non-political) BS.

Glad I wasn't the only one that saw that one right off the bat. Non-political my foot.

"There is no such thing as a clear thinking liberal."

Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Joe Lieberman come to mind as very clear-thinking liberals.

So do Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton, although for these latter two in the sense that Machiavelli was a clear thinker.

"You are correct. It is difficult to be both a clear-thinking and honest Democrat......."

But Moynihan managed it.
And so does Joe Lieberman.

For that matter, to be honest, Mayor Bloomberg of New York manages it. He is the ultimate RINO, in the sense that he was literally a lifelong Democrat who signed up as a Republican only because the Democrat line was taken up for mayor.
Bloomberg is a pretty good mayor. A nattering ninny-nanny about smoking, to be sure, but a pretty level-headed, clear-thinking guy.

Come to think of it, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and John Corzine are all very clear-thinking Democrats.

Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, John Corzine, Michael Bloomberg, Joe Lieberman, John Breaux and Daniel Patrick Moynihan (RIP) are (or were) all clear-thinking Liberals.

The problem is not the Liberalism, it's the race- and class-baiting that has made for power for so long.

Is there a broader list? I scanned the other breakdown list you referred to. I'm dismayed Hugh Hewitt hasn't cracked these as relentless as he is. Also how about Larry Elders and 790 KABC local Doug McIntyre?

"He's pretty much a libertarian, isn't he?"

I'd say he leans that way, but he doesn't have his feet in their camp.

I know this is correct but this is from the summer of 2003, almost two years ago now. Is there anything more recent available?

I agree with you about Imus.
He makes me laugh.
He's such a crotchety old piece of...umm...moowish.

If the Liberals had someone like Imus on Air America, they could make a go of it. Imus is not insane. The comedians who are on Air America ARE insane.

It seems like there must be a more comprehensive list since it could be easily complied from Arbitron ratings. However, I wouldn't know where to look!

I'm surprised Dennis Prager did not make the list.
And I'm also surprised that Laura Ingraham's numbers are so low...

BS.

No kidding. I've had to turn him off a few times.

Meanwhile, I thought Bruce Williams was dead or retired. I used to listen to him years ago. I've lived around the country a bit since then and have never been able to pick him up anywhere.

My guess is Savage is (super-rapid cycling) Ultradian Bipolar I with hints of schizoaffective disorder....

Ok that and he drinks alot...

ANNNND he is a real grump....

Maybe a bit wackaloon too...

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he was really liberal trying to make all conservatives look insane.
