Katie Couric's attitude tomorrow morning should be interesting. She doesn't have a problem with making a fool of herself on a daily basis, so we shouldn't be disappointed.

It sure was a landslide. Oh well anyone making the liberals go crazy is my favorite.

Yes, I actually asked her "Don't you think you sound like a Protestant?" LOL If that's where she goes, fine, but I found it a bit confounding that the answer appeared to be in plain sight--if you don't like it, leave!

No, it's the Cardinal of Paris who was born Jewish.

I think a renewal of Catholicism in Western Europe will actually lift all Christian's boats ... a flood of renewal of faith. We are all the better for it.
This is counter to the brutal bashing Christians have been enduring from MSM in recent years.

Actually, I've heard that other religions say the same thing...if you're not born again, you won't be saved, if you're not this or that, etc.. God will sort us out no matter what.

"Actually, he's right. But this isn't the thread to beat this horse to death again. We'll do that at a later time"

No offense, but I've already got that point of view. I'm not interested in the Protestant point because I've already got it; I'm specifically trying to get the other side here. Don't worry, your view is well represented. ;)

LilDarlin's first post was deleted by the moderator....I think it was post 1202(?) but tells much about Lil Darlin who would post something so offensive regarding the pope she was deleted.

Ratzinger will have to have been a BENEDICTINE, of the Order of St. Benedict in order for this to have any relevance. So this speculation is mere fantasy.

I have not heard, on any other TV station or radio, any "count" on the ballots. I cannot imagine that anything MSNBC is reporting is true. There is no probable chance that a Cardinal released that information. Only the few who are selected to count them even know the exact amount, and I doubt those Cardinals would tell.

How is this alleged fact that Pope Benedict XVI won by 4 votes is being verified? Anyone know? Did it come from a fax machine in Dan Rather's old office??

91 out of 115 votes, sounds like a mandate to me!

What a great smile! He may be fluent in "just" four languages, but everyone can understand that warm beam.

Prayers for Pope Benedict XVI

As much as the Moderate and Liberals think this is a bad thing, I can't help but to be happy. Maybe Benedict will push back some of the Vatican II 'reforms'. I myself would like to see a greater return of the Latin (Tridentine) Mass. Benedict may also help to purge the pedophiles from the Church. Both things would be a blessing.

Cheers,

CSG
