Most of Mrs. Bush's humor at the correspondents' dinner was just right: Edgy but not over the edge. But I think the stripper and horse jokes were totally beneath her.

Just put it to the other-shoe test: If it were Teresa Heinz Kerry standing up on the dais telling the same jokes, the conservative commentariat would be buzzing for the rest of the year about what a tasteless skank she is.

I'm at polar opposites with the administration and founder on immigration too. At least Bush is trying something (Guest Card), but it's not nearly enough to make me think he's serious about immigration. I just don't know of anyone with the courage to speak honestly about the subject without also being a flame thrower.

I could be wrong or paranoid but sometimes I feel like about 30% of posters are actual trolls. I track the user names to other websites when I get bored or curious and the attitude is completely changed.

There are also posting techniques that smell of liberal websites I have seen when I want to know what the wacky left is saying.
