Michelle Malkin: The Wonkette-ization of Laura Bush
Michelle Malkin ^ | May 3, 2005 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 05/03/2005 2:10:11 PM PDT by EveningStar

Most of Mrs. Bush's humor at the correspondents' dinner was just right: Edgy but not over the edge. But I think the stripper and horse jokes were totally beneath her.

Just put it to the other-shoe test: If it were Teresa Heinz Kerry standing up on the dais telling the same jokes, the conservative commentariat would be buzzing for the rest of the year about what a tasteless skank she is.

Ahem. Are you unaware that when you mention a poster you should ping them?

Let's see...poor reading comprehension. Check. Rude. Check. Troublemaker. Check.

And I answered you but you didn't like the answer. sniff

I don't like any of your answers. What I can't tolerate is disingenuousness. And you are the definition of that.

Don't act like you didn't lump in Malkin -- who was only bothered by parts of Laura's bit -- with people who called her a "whore." Answer THAT, if you have the courage .

It depends how mad I am. The more I read, the angrier I get. By the end of the night, I'll be better than Sammy Sosa.

It's fear, alright. Fear that the "commonfolk" who actually make this country and culture what it is will like and have faith in the goodness, humanity, beliefs and policies of a couple like George and Laura Bush. Fear from the Left, for obvious reasons. Fear from the Right because the First Family isn't as "tight" as that certain segment that's convinced itself the Bush/Cheney team couldn't have been elcted without their help and influence.

I'm sure that many FReepers are aware of the winds that blow across America. The new "New Right" that's not as rigidly religious or as dogmatic as the country club set. The new wave that's Conservative and Libertarian in its views on a myriad of issues. The new wave of conservatives that aren't beholden to any particular front or stable.

The ruling elites haven't grasped it yet. They don't have a lock on the new wave. It's uncontrollable, it's smart and it's not going to be fooled like our parents and grandparents were.

example after example

You sound as though dozens of examples were given me. Again, more hyperbole. The 2 examples I was shown do not deserve all your vitriol.

Yes, a drama queen you definitely are.

Well, let's go see what I actually said, shall we?

Oh, here it is:

"Michelle Malkin? She must be a city girl. The Holier than Thou group will feel so vindicated and the hijacking of FR by the Taliban right will be complete."

Which part of the above don't you understand? Michelle didn't like parts of Laura's presentation. There's a certain faction of people, those who made over the top statements, who will feel good about that.

Hmmm. You have a problem with that? Okay. I don't have a problem with you having a problem with that.

Brit Hume's "Special Report" on Tuesday had as its funny item at the end a clip of an appearance by President Bush with a group of citizens on the Social Security reform issue. There was a 65-year-old woman there who was still working...someone referred to her being a "desperate housewife" and everyone cracked up (because of Laura's comments the other night).

That will be replayed about 2 hours from now.

You are so lame. The f-word were published there for the purpose of demonstrating the left's intolerance toward Malkin herself. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Notice, that both you and I communicated the usage of the f-word without actually spelling it out. Malkin could have done the same since she is so easily offended by what the first lady did.

She didn't.

You're lame.

Why should I ping you? You're right here.

Rude? This is something you are unfamiliar with, right? LOL. Your rudeness is all over the place here.

You can't follow the links (they are in red, hon) on the thread? You seem to follow posts along okay generally, but perhaps can't see those colored links.

What's up --- you're beating a dead horse here. You're offended by nearly everything as far as I can tell. Humorless people bore me.

That's not the rule, whether the poster is "right there" or not. People leave threads and visit other threads and take up at the last post when they re-visit.

But that's okay.

Rule breaker. Check.
