I'm sure I'll get flamed for this... but Jar-Jar never really bothered me all that much. :-P
Jar Jar didn't really destroy me. TPM's 'Exsqueeze me' and a few of his antics really hurt, since I'm a huge SW fan. Still, TPM is a good Star Wars movie.
Attack of the Clones was a really solid movie, in general. I really liked it.
Revenge of the Sith is looking to be the best prequel, and easily up the originals.
Same here. The more times I saw Phantom Menace (quite a few, since I'm a SW-loving dork), the more Jar Jar grew on me. The battle scene at the end where Jar Jar accidentally holds off the robots got better every time. There are many bad things about these prequels, but I don't think Jar Jar is anywhere near the worst of them.
Plus, even if you do hate the character, you have to love the fact that George Lucas made him more or less responsible for the destruction of the Republic in Attack of the Clones.
